yo when the plants are small you should put them on a block of wood to rais them up closer to yuor light and will you be using the same spectrum for bud? you have good light for veg but one of each spectrum would be better somthing 3000k

looks nice like a miny bar for your room hahah

Well... I used to raise it closer but it's really hot near the lamps... I'll keep it that way. And it's growing good so I think it's receiving plently of light... the light it like 6-7 inches away. I think it's close enough.
Yeah, I have a 42Watts 2700K too... I'll switch to that one when the plant will be bigger.

hey man, keep up the good work. i have a few suggestions for your next plant. use a square/rectangular pot. you can get a ton more dirt for the one plant...which gives you bigger, better roots and a healthier more stable plant without having to sacrafice height. also, add some perlite and vermiculite to your soil. this helps with moisture retention and root oxygenation.

also, from the get go have those plants right under the light. keeps them from stretching. that heat issue you might want to take off the carbon for the intake at the bottom of the case. might help force the air through the outake a little more

i just posted a bunch of stuff on this other forum with some more information about my pc project. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/152445-pc-grow-case-question.html
i will get some pictures too of what i have to maybe compare and contrast. mine for sure isnt light tight like yours. props on that

Well... I'll try to take one cause there are people around at night and can't take picture in full darkness.... I'd say that it's almost stealth cause you can see some light going out where the panel door close... and you can see some in the back if you look close. It would show light if it was in the middle of the room in full darkness. But where it is right now, it's pretty stealth. No one ever noticed or asked questions.

I'm thinking about doing a new one with improvements that would make it(I think) Fully Light Proof. I'll post a new project topic when I'll build it.

Well... I will not get the plant closer to the light cause it's not stretching at all... I even would be pleased if it was stretching a little more.

If you noticed the streching of the first days of growth, it was because I wasn't using the same light bulbs... look at the beginning of the topic.

Yeah, I know about the carbon filters. I'm planning building a whole new box using a better case for it with locking panels. I'm thinking about a light proof intake and outake made like the ones in dark rooms for photo developping... it should work and have good air flow.

I think the best case for this would be the Chieftec Dragon DX-01BD-U. I looked at almost all cases on the market. This one would be awesome.

put some more soil on top!!!!!
It's a Bonzai, you have to see the roots! hahaha!

I know what you're talking about, but it's growing well now so the roots are getting down to the bottom. Those roots you see are now wooden and hard. This is why I,ve had slow growth at first... it was trying to get good roots. Now it's growing.
