Hello all

I have been reading these forums over a month now and they've been very useful. This is my first post and im also a first time grower.

The plant is 43 days old and 10.5" high. Grown in the bedroom closet, noone knows and ive been dying to talk about it. She's in a standard compost(no idea what nutrigents are in it or ph) mixed with pebbles and perlite with a couple inch of stones in the bottom, i only water when it has completely dried out from previous watering(water ph between 6-7).

About 2 weeks ago i noticed the lower leaves turning yellow and really tiny bugs in the soil, i repotted as it was about due anyway. That got rid of the bugs.
Since then the tips of every leaf as turned yellow and the very lowest leaves turned completely yellow, then abit brown and crispy. One leaf as a dark brown spot. Growth doesnt seem to be stunted through out all of this. The overall plant looks abit droopy. I havent used any fert since before the repot roughly days 3 and 28.
Today i have put the lights on 12/12 and need to add flowering fert. Before doing that i wanted to know whats up with my plant so i dont overdose it or something.
My main concern is the yellow tips on all the leaves, does anyone know what it is?

Here's some pics, unfortunately there poor quality, taken on phone.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

u didnt mention the lighting..if ur just using a standard 60w lamp thats not gunna work at all..ur gunna need at least a 400w especially for flowering...i wudnt ahve put it on 12/12 yet cud use some more vegging..the yellow tips are prolly just a nutrient defficency ..the plants droopy mainly because of the light

ok i know nothing about lights. it says on the box 'eco-light 6400k white/blue spectrum 125watt 5u 230v 50hz'? its about 1 ft from the plant in a reflector

that should be fine for one plant for veg. buy a couple 23W CFL's even 42Watters, and put them on the side of the plant when u flower.... u see on that last pic. after the second set of true leaves. the rest start to droop cus your light doesnt penetrate the canopy well enough. so either clip some of the lower foliage off let the buds get some light. or go to home deopt and get a 70W HPS security light for 50 bux. :). im doin that right now in a closet just like u..... your ladie looks nice tho. real nice green. ide top and let the new buds grow. then flower

u should do 18/6 if u have a timer. the roots develop when its dark. again home deopt like 4 bux.... but if u alreadyd started flowering. and u want to re-veg. u can do it but it will take a while to grow. could take months or just hermie. ide say stick with flowering it and just use this as experience. next time plan on beasting on it...

Just adding my two cents. You may want to keep the veg nutes going for a couple of weeks into flower to help deal with the stretch. There are different forum topics on it. give a search for it. It helped me alot to keep the high nitrogen going for a little longer.

PS Feed them. That could be why the are yellowing. Sorry but I am reading this in parts. 3 days and then at 28 days is propably not enough they are trying to tell u they want some food.

ok im gonna put light on 18/6 and give them more veg fert. ill look into getting some more lighting as soon as i can. How long should i do 18/6 before going to 12/12?

Since i started this post i have lowered the light to around 3" from the top of the plant, added more veg fert and put light on to 18/6. I also pulled the bottom dead leaves off, dont know much about pruning, need to read up on it.
Been a couple of days now and they seem to look abit better. Bottom leaves still hanging down and yellowing/crispy tips. The tips of the upper leaves droop a little, not sure why as the light is closer?
Still need to sort out more lighting to get the lower part of the plant.
Added a couple of pics, turned my picture quailty up but they look no different from previous ones to me

those are looking good they should be better when you add more floros...if you are doing 12/12 you want your plant to get as much light as it can. you also should try to get bulbs in the warm spectrum 2700k-3500k that would be better for flowering

Yes i was going to ask that question sooner or later. Is it not possible to flower it with the white spectrum? I will buy the red im just curious how much difference it makes.
I need to get more light underneath, if i had a light pointing from the floor would that help or make the leaves pull down towards the light?

with the blue/white spectrum flowering your buds wont be the same.the warm spectrum is ideal for flowering(helps make the buds dense).you can use what you have now but if you want better results get a bulb with the warm spectrum.
