I am just here asking for help, not covering anything up. If anything I did stood out to me, I would say so. No secrets here, just asking for help.

Here’s your answer ….. grower’s screw up.
You compiled all kinds of fertilizer, Miracle grow , compost , 50% EWC - this an that.

You caused the issues …. You need to do just simple gardening techniques, no bullshit YouTube videos or grows.
All of that unbalanced feed pretty much screwed the pooch .

Believe it or not …… cannabis is just a god damn plant. It doesn’t need high fertilizer batches or insane amounts of product.
Grow it like a fucking tomato plant.


Bagged soil / seed / some water. Base bagged soil would feed it upfront - with no other shit added - for weeks depending on brand.
Although I’m not a fan of Miracle Grow - some growers use it. I don’t care for the “ time released nutes “ which feeds “ every time you water “.
Anyways , keep it simple. Stop throwing this and that . Learn basic gardening skills before becoming overwhelmed.

Remember it’s just a plant.

Those plants are suffering from abiotic stress.

Start over with some new seeds and just buy a bag of ProMix and use a simple 2 or 3 part nutrient. Its the easiest way for beginners to succeed.

And dont add anything to it. No perlite, no EWCs, no compost.

Use decent water and keep your environment in check.

Simple.

If you want to get a little adventurous, you could grab a few cuts from the photo and try to clone them. Cut the tops. If these are seed plants, they should easily root even in that condition.

I agree with the others here, that all you can really do at this point, is let the soil dry more before watering again.
The term you're looking for is "chronic overwatering".
It's the fastest way newer growers and old kill their plants.

But alas, the problem often isn't really the growers own doing, but the soils or substrate.
It's all aeration and drainage. All it is.
How often a grower waters, doesn't explain the "why" or underlying reason for chronic overwatering.
Some hydroponic grows are watering more than 6x per day.

You added compost to reused soil when you amended.
Compost holds onto a helluvalot of water.
Did you add any aeration to your reused soil when you amended?

Regardless, adding some perlite to your pots next-time will help a lot. They're not overly large.
In my own opinion, chronic overwatering shouldn't really exist for the average grower, unless pots are far too large.

Nothing you can really do now. Besides watering less often. Letting it dry more between waters. And run-to-waste each watering.
Next-time around, before potting up, mix in 20-30% perlite or so. That's my advice.
You'll need to water more frequently, but it's so much more forgiving.
Roots crave aeration all day.

I appreciate your response. I let the soil dry out so the top 2 inches or so are dry between waterings, which turns out to be around every 3-4 days. I don't think they have ever been over watered until I flushed them out good a week ago, but that was in an effort to correct the problem, it did not cause the problem. I did not add any more pearlite, but I thought the soil was still nice and fluffy, and it still is. Water soaks right in nd any extra will come right out te bottom. I can't believe that airation is the issue, but I am glad you brought it up so I can metion what the soil is like. Is 50% compost too much? I don't know how to tell, but I have read that the compost breaks down slowly enough that it can't really cause any nutrient burning. Also, I cut down some plants yesterday, and I pulled out the root ball and rinsed it to see what it looked like and it looked very healthy in my opinion. Very white but just a little off white / yellow. Before someone says it, NO the roots were not yellow, they were very white and looked good on that plant.
