My Small Closet Grow **PIX**

He is the 411 on my small closet grow. My house is raised and the bottom level is unfinished with a garage attached. There was a portion of the area that I was able to segregate away from the rest by building a door and adding a wall. I then insulated the area and screwed up ply wood over the insulation. I sealed all the cracks with spray foam. I then stapled up black and white (panda) plastic to the walls and covered the staple holes with white duct tape. I was not able to attach the panda plastic to the floor because the floor was dirt and uneven. This created an issue I will address in a moment. I had my electrician come in and run 4 outlets running 120 Volt. I cut a hole in the back wall for air to be sucked in through passively via the suction from the exhaust. Then I covered the intake with a hepa filter to keep out dirt and bugs. At the opposite end of the room I cut another hole to exhaust air out. I connected a carbon filter and 8" can fan plus 8” ducting for the exhaust. My laundry room was above the grow and the dryer vent was previously dumped strait into the grow room, so I attached the dryer ducting to my exhaust, but this turned out to cause too much humidity in the grow so I had to change it and dump the dryer vent out of an upstairs window. The exhaust worked so well that it pulled in all the panda off the walls as well as lifted it waist High off the ground. To stop the plastic from lifting off the ground I covered some scrap ply wood with panda and laid them on the floor to create a better surface to set the plants on as well as keep the plastic down. I mounted Air King oscillating fans at each end of the room. I put in 1 600 watt 120 Volt Lumiteck Ballast with Sun Systems hood and a bulb. I put the light on a 6 foot mover so it could cover the whole room. This worked great for Veg but when I flowered my first time the buds had no density. I got rid of the mover an added a second light, same ballast and bulb but with a Hydro farms hood. I have been experimenting with homemade Co2 using gallon water jugs, sugar water, and active yeast. I have had a few setbacks so far. Since the Co2 makes the plants grow so much faster they need to be watered every other day or so. I usually water once a week. I left the Plants unattended for 4 days and 7 out of 8 almost died. I brought them all back but one stayed runty. I was initially vegging in 4 gallon pots then going to 7 gallon for flower but since the only plant that stayed healthy through my Co2 fiasco was the one that started in the 7 gall I will start them all like that from now on. It probably thrived because there was more water available in the bigger pot. Now I am in the 3rd week of flower in my second harvest. The strain is Jack the Ripper and I’m using Canna CoCO with Canna nutrients. I Thin out all my plants when I set them to flower and again at the end of week 2. Here are some pix...

this is trickery... this isnt really a small closet grow spot, it actually looks mid size to me. If you call this small i'd like to see what you call a big op. Very nice either way

two rooms in a basement with concrete floors, running water and gas lines and a drain in the floor:

Room 1 veg room

6 600 watt 8" Air cooled Sun Systems hoods with digital Lumiteck balasts running on 240v with built in analog timers
a top fed drip system running to 6" rockwool cubes
all automated with seperate climate control
a Hydro inovations watercooled Co2 generator hard wired into the natural gas line with drain to waste waterline
a Sentinel Chhc-1 brain controling it

Room 2 Flower Room
12 750w 8" Air cooled Sun Systems hoods with digital Lumiteck balasts running on 240v with built in analog timers
Top fed drip system running to 6" rockwool cubes
all automated with seperate climate control
a Hydro inovations watercooled Co2 generator hard wired into the natural gas line with drain to waste waterline
a Sentinel Chhc-1 brain controling it
a PXM-2 Power expansion module to run the
20k BTU Air Conditioner via the Chhc-1
2,000 CFM dumping out through carbon filter and a silencer 12' ducting
1000 CFM intake 10" Ducting
all ducting hung with bungee cords for no vibration
