My soil PH still at 7

I posted a week ago about my soil ph being at 7.2. I got the feed back that it had to be my water, because I am using Fox Farm Ocean soil. I checked the water and it was at 7. I also checked my soil and it was the same. So I bought some of the ph liquid up or down. I once again checked my water and it was at 7. I used the ph down and brought it down to 6. I added ferts and watered. I waited an hour and checked the ph of the soil. It was 7 on one plant and 6.9 on another, so it did not go down much.
My question is should I continue to bring down the ph slowly over a few waterings, and will this bring it down to the 6.5 to 6.7 that I want??? Thanks guys for any help. My Misty girls are still doing well even though the ph it a little high.

A PH reading of 7.0 is fine for soil grows. Just leave it at that and you'll be fine. PH has to do with the acidity or alkalinity of the soil/medium. 7.0 is dead on neutral.

There fine at 7 but if you get lock up it'll sky rocket over night...
I strive to try to lower and keep my soils at 6.5 gives you time to react to problems before your plant is stressing to hard,,Try and lower gradually
no more then 1/4 to half point every fews days or when watering,,which in most soil cases is every few days

oh you see any lockup overnight, i didnt up 3 gallons in one feeding, you can tell who got locked up. Failure to flush causes toxicity and lockup also my soil is much closer to 6

7 is cool, what you do is mix up your nutes then adjust ph, if you get a lot of nutes built up in the soil it will raise ph but that does not sound like thats going on here, as long as the plants look good i wouldent worry

pretty sure u dont have to mix mushroom compost in your soil , to bring your ph down soilwise mix in some dolomite lime , or sprinlke some sulphur powder ontop and water it , wait 2weeks and it wil slowly drop

If you feel you need to do something you can bring your ph down to 5.6 in your soloution and just keep it there. It will bring the PH down a bit in your soil.
What the soil is made of determans the PH both short term and long. Short term soils like sunshine and promix can be PH set after a few waterings. More complex soils retain there ph long term based on slow release addatives like worm castings, which last 2 to 3 years, see where were going and why there is no set answer.

I have been growing in dirt for 7 years and never messed with the soil ph. I can tell you it is around 7 +- .2 and my plants dig it.

Remember they are weeds, and they grow just fine all over the world not just in 6.5 PH soil.

Worry about Temp and humity, you will be rewarded much better.

Peace

yeah i was checking my soil with an electronic tester last night and seems to be around 7.1-7.3 i have one barneys lsd and 2 barneys bluecheeses in my closet right now. the lsd has had problems since it germed and the plate fell on the floor if i can find a good enough camera ill take a pick and let you guys check it out. but the bluecheeses have been doing fine. Im using a 50/50 mix of promix bx and ffof and ive been using the BMO lineup for nutes. the ph straight out of the tap is around 7.0 all i have are ph papers to test it.im thinking ill just throw a capful of apple cider vinegar in with my spt watering next week since i just gave them grow it green a couple of days ago.
