My soil's ph is 6.9 - 7.1

Ya man. Last I heard your soil should be an even 7, while the water you water with should be like 6.5. I wouldn't get too scared about it though, unless yah see some major changes going on all is well. I personally don't even use PH-UP or PH-down solutions, just go with the general flow of things.

Thanks. That is what I read in the book, and so long as you let your water set out for 24 hours you should be fine. I also read that by using ph up and down you are actually increasing the salts in the soil; I dont use any nutes (all organic fertilizers) until they are flowering and only if they need it (new policy after first grow.) Thanks again I appreciate it.

my soil is reading around 7 to 8 for my seedlings. i have not put any nutes to them at all. there is humus manure in the soil though but thats it
