I made a small tent when I decided to grow.
The total cost was under £100 for me.
The tent is made from a small greenhouse tent which is available in all kinds of home ware stores here in the UK.
about £10 mine was free.
I took all the shelves out except the bottom one, the greenhouse is 2m tall 600mm wide and 400mm deep.
I then made walls and a roof inside it out of cardboard boxes duct taped it all up and it was lightproof. Got the boxes from work, so free. Then lined the inside of it with space blanket, which is nice and shiny, and only £1 for one which was enough for the whole space.
So that's a £15 grow tent £3 for duct tape
I then got myself a room deodoriser from a friend so free, but I think they cost around £25. It is fitted with a carbon filter and de-ionizer?? I attached it into the top of my room by cutting a hole in the board and the outer plastic then sealing it all in with duct tape.

So for £40 we've got a ventilated tent. Currently it's kept the smell to a zero too, and the carbon filter needs changing!
Now the lights. It's running CFL's 2 x 105watt
The light housing is made out of a timber frame with the light fixings and electrics. Then there is a stainless steel hood over the top of it all, this is the top of an old microwave, inside it was mirror finished so I thought that will do.
This was all essentially scrap. But the wood would be around £3, the wiring (which I got from work) would be about £5 junction box 80p light fixings £1 each, Plug £1, wire clips 50p. Sheet of shiny metal I dunno say £5 from your local scrap man.
The housing totalled at £3.80 for me or £16.30 if you bought it.
The CFL's where £20 each, there was no getting around that.
Timer switch was £3
£79.30 Total cost now for a complete set-up.
You might be thinking yeah yeah but it'll never work. It's only for my personal use and it's my first grow. So I will be happy with anything, and when you look below you can see how I'm going at 4 weeks flowering.
Or look at my journal.

You may of guessed, but I used bagseed for this grow.
I grew in soil in cheap plastic pots and used tomato fertilizer, and since the start of flowering have been meaning to change to a better one for this stage.
Well let me know what you think and I thought I'd let people see how cheap you can do it.
