My weed dont smell

I stood corrected when growing further to find sometimes it dont smell. Either strain or yield quantity dependent, small plants maybe just dont smell. I have two in flower with no filter, one is close to harvest.

Many times I find at the stage you're in in flower now the buds sometimes barely smell like anyything and lots of times those same ones turn out to be real stinkers the last two weeks. Also as said above you may just have gotten a bad seed of good genetics or just bad genetics.

Seems odd to me because everyone makes a big deal about the big smell.... last run was GDP from ilgm.com but whatever my wife doesn't mind lol

I rarely get much of a strong smell from my flower tent. I typically give the buds a little squeeze and give my fingers a sniff to get an idea of what they may end up tasting like. Went in to turn the lights on this morning and was greeted with a subtle dank flooded basement odor, but not much I'd really consider a weed smell. Kinda wondering if maybe I just barely even smell bud anymore.

I'm often fighting extreme heat, which apparently affects terpenes in a big way. I can pretty much count on one hand how many grows I've had where the whole house just reeked. Most seem to agree that lack of smell can point to grower error and/or shitty environmental control. In my case, I'm inclined to agree on both counts.

My closet never goes above 83..... is that too hot? I thought 81-83 is perfect

I do have an aci clip on fan rotating but blowing on them 24/7..... it's on 7 of 10 power setting. Could this be" "drying" them out?

I’ve found smell to be genetics or drying issue.

Assuming you're running led, 83 should be right on the money. I'd lean towards genetics is giving you the lack of odor. Get your hands on some beans from a different breeder and source and see what happens.

Have you finished and smoked one of your grows with no odor?

yes i finished and was able to smoke one of the 2 plants (the other i just dont want to smoke so i give it to friends lol, it's not that good) and it has more of a smell now but it's still not strong nor a "god damn that weed smells good" smell.

How did it smoke? That's the important question.

Meh, for my first grow ever in my life and not knowing shit and abusing the plants to the max. Good.

Where i want it to be? It's shit.

Now i think i just need to work on the experience i have.

It's good enough that i smoke on it throughout the day while I am working because it's "Free" and it doesnt get me stoned into couchlock lol

Genetics, environment, plant health, pretty much the order of effect on the final outcome.

good genetics can be grown poorly and still turn out decent. Bad genetics can be grown really well and turn out decent.

The only way to get really great flavors, smells, and quality, is to pheno hunt good genetics that grow healthy in YOUR environment! Sometimes that takes growing out several packs of seeds. I’ve gotten plants worth keeping for years from a single seed, but I don’t count on getting a keeper even from a 10 pack. Once you find a keeper I’m a big fan of using moms and clones to maintain the genetics as long as you like.

Literally, smells like a houseplant. Nothing of a weed smell. This is my 2nd time ever and my 1st (very abused) run also had no smell. Any ideas? Ffof and ff trio nutes but very little. Mephisto Ghost tooth and a freebie
Get a second opinion on the smell! Could be the covid as well!

Diesels and chemdog type stuff can be loud from time to time also OG kush. North Atlantic Seed Co is a great company with great breeders. I used them a bunch. As for the loudest smelling grow I had this year though it was " 9lb Hammer" from Jinxproof Genetics. Just a hint of sweet with a nice skunky burn your nose type smell over the top. He only sells regular seeds though. Not a problem but many like fems. heres a link. North atlantic doesnt carry his stuff.
