Going to start autoflower from seed in seven gallon fabric pots was wondering if i can put
Mycorrhizal in the hole when starting or get a tap root going then sprinkle on taproot before planting in soil.

You want to get myco actually on your roots in most cases, it takes a long time to establish itself in your soil and it requires a root to be present to even start the process, also if they touch your root if there are any endophytic fungal strains they could possibly migrate into the root for safety.

I haven't popped a seed in years but I usually dust my roots every time coming out of the cloner. I would assume you would want to dust the taproot or put myco in the hole directly along with the seed while sowing, not sure if either would be better than the other, but you would especially want an auto flower to be exposed to myco as early as possible. Mostly just because an auto will likely spend less time in the soil than a photo plant.

Hey guys,

Just a quick reminder on the best ways to apply Mycorrhizae to your plants.

The two application methods that work the best are:
1. Mixing in the soil media
2. Mixing in the planting hole

Notice that sunlight and heat will kill the Mycorrhizae!

The most important thing is to have direct contact with the roots!

Hope we could help!

Do you know if applying to much mycorrhizal hurts the plants? I just droped a whole 5g bag into a 10L gallon pot by mistake

Hey @rimjow,

It's a shame to let a good product go to waste. Follow the instructions for best results.

Application Rate is 5 grams per clone/seed in 1-pint containers, so if you were to treat each plant only once at early veg after propagation.

Happy Growing!!!

I can't see that it would.

I normally just put a teaspoon full in the planting hole. 5 grams in 10 gallons isn't much at all.

or just put some in a salt shaker and shake on top of the roots when transplanting
I used your tip but instead of a salt shaker I had to use an old parmesan shaker because I got way too many transplants to do I'd be refilling salt shakers like a maniac. lol Cheers on the tip though I was just kinda throwing it in there with a spoon before.
