n00b lighting question

I'm a PC case grower and my seedlings look decent and healthy. Just wondering if there's a huge difference if I'm at 18/6 or 24/0. Right now, I'm 24/0. Will this stress my babies and cause them to grow slower or will they not notice and just grow like mad?

Thanks, in advance.

Usually 24/0 will allow more rapid growth in my opinion. although if u are going to be doing a pc grow heat may become a factor in your final decision. 18/6 is just a more natural light cycle to use and it helps with regulating heat as the box has a chance to cool down with the 6 hours of darkness

i read an article somewhere that said 18/6 promoted the fastest root growth.i would never go 24/0. 24/0 doestn't make the plant grow any faster + your wasting electricity. i think all plants need alittle time in the dark to do their thing. just seems natural to me.:joint::joint:

Going to have to agree that 24/0 is unnatural compared to 18/6, i've grown under supervision and tried both ways but found better root growth with 18/6, i feel its more of a natural plant cyle, alternatively try even doing 9/3/9/3, not as natural but something i am testing and finding is working quite well...

found that the more regular the breaks the less discolouring i risk for higher leaves that get too much heat from the lights. i'll keep you posted on wether i think it made a difference, although if it does i doubt it will be of much significance!
