true that and i'm not paying for it. i don't need to be translated to or force fed what to think:wall:

and the ones that do, don't read their rag..they're reading Epoch Times and waiting for communiques from Q.

'they're going to show us the evidence soon'..you'd think after a year or so they'd get tired of saying that and change the record.
Agreed. I enjoy thinking for myself.

I pay for content from WaPo, Financial Times and NY times. Also a local newspaper. Also a donating member to Oregon Public Broadcasting.

AP and Reuters are good but insufficient.

I pay for the Washington Post. And I just went to the NY Times (who I don't have a account to) and clicked into 3 stories and didn't get any messages, so I wasn't able to see how many free a month you get.

So is it supposed to be 2 a month from NY Times? I know when I get the message that says 'reached my limit' it is a monthly deal that I can read another article though.

There is all kinds of garbage online for free so I don't doubt you can read things for free, but the question I always have is why can you read it for free, who is behind the money that is pushing the 'free' narratives.

I really liked this guys ideas about paying people for their online activity and using that to pay for their access to information.

Yeah but they rely on those newspapers paying to use their content.
i just want to read the news and it seems to be harder and harder to accomplish.

Thanks, worked
Long press the link to get the drop down box for incognito on touchscreens. Never once used incognito in all these years lol
I have addblockerplus on all my devices. Anytime a site ask me to disable it, I just copy and paste the address to incognito. Easier than doing all the steps to white list a site.

Filtering through all the spam propaganda sites claiming to be news is a lot harder when you realize that it is all mostly garbage and hit paywalls to the actual information that professional fact based news sites have in place so they can pay actual journalist to do the research necessary to write.

i'm also old enough to remember corner newsstand where you can read the headlines minus a paywall.
The good ole days that men buried sexual harassment and minority and women's rights stories on a massive scale.

btw, you can still do that by visiting the WaPo and NYT websites, and they give you a couple/few free stories a month.

now Hanimmal old man..noone ever said they were 'the good ole days'- you did.

it says they give 5 free per month but that bullshit- there's no way i get 5 monthly from them.

no worries i found a hack.

How can I get New York Times for free?
Anytime you hit a page on the NY Times' website asking you to cough up some cash to continue reading, simply hit the NYTClean bookmark in your toolbar. Magically, it works and you're redirected to a free version of the article.Dec 18, 2020

Just saying that I get your gripe but am reminding you that the news was not always cheap commodity. People who only got their news for free, got it from the TV.

I'm willing to pay for information from a reliable source. It certainly beats the kind of crap that padshuystikk used to post here about Democrats.
