hOW NECESSARY IS IT TO HAVE A TDS METER BEING THIS IS MY FIRST GROW? cAN I GET AWAY W/O HAVING TDS AND PH METER. iM GOIN TO PURCHASE THE STRIPS AND THE PH KIT FOR NOW. I DONT REALLY WANT TO BUY A CHEAP ONE AND ITS NOT ACCURATE. U KNO U GET WAT U PPAY FOR SOMETIMES.

I'm sick of people who have no respect for their language ;)

as to the thread though, ph is good to know even if just to work out if your water is good enough to need to bother with ph or not, as to TDS/PPM/EC meters, you can have mine if you want, was a complete waste of my money. Too many folk try and turn growing a plant into a scientific process. Sure it "can be useful" but there is absolutely no need for one.
