Need a new setup, $1k setup?

So I'm looking to do a perpetual grow and I'm looking for the best setup possibly. I was going over some things on what to buy but I can't seem to wrap my head around if its correct or not. I was thinking at first to do a SOG in a 4x8 but thats just too much work.. so I think I'm going to do 8 five gallons in a 4x8.
I currently have a 300wat quantum board I built and a 2x4 tent.. can I utilize this tent for anything? Or should I just use it for a drying tent and purchase a 3x3? I measured out a 3x3 tent and it can fit 8 five gallon buckets/bags tightly and then when flowering comes move it to the 4x8 tent which will have 2 kingbrite 550s.
Any inputs? Thank you.

TLDR
Use 2x4 for drying
Buy 3x3 and stick my 300wat QB light
Buy 4x8 tent and flower with (2) 550s chinese quantum knocks offs

I used to do a perpetual with 8x4 and 8 plants in 5gal pots. with a 4x4 for veg.
Two crops at different stage flowering in the 8x4.

I managed fine by having young clones in the sidelines of the tent ready to pot up as soon as the 4 older clones went to flower, always having twice the clones you need so you can keep feeding the system.

No doubt an extra tent for clones makes life easier.

Also i think i prefer 315cmh for veg. Seems quicker to me.

My veg tent used 315cmh 8 month of the year and 600w mh in winter.
Flower tent was 720w of cob and 2x 260wQB kits.

Do you think a 3x3 would be to small for veg?

Depends on your style of growing. I like to grow plants with 4-6 colas and get them growing up so they are not too bushy then super crop them out half way down when i move them to flower tent. That means i can veg in a smaller area and fill a bigger space when moved to flower.
If you did that you should be ok. Separate cloning space would help, you don't need much for that or much height.

Its one of those things though, you will probably end up wishing you had more room no matter how much you have.

If you don't mind me asking what is the needed output per month? Like how much meds would you be satisfied with? I find it's easier to figure that out then work back from there to decide your needs.

I keep my mothers (bonzai style) in a 2x4 tent and also clones in there. I just have a 4 light t5 for that tent. It easily supplied my perpetual tents with clones. I had 2 3x3 tents and one 4x8 tent and i had no problem getting enough clones from that tent to supply them.
