So this is my first time but im doing all the research...got my grow bible 2nd edition.

My goal is to have one group of indica..possibly two strands. Also I want to have 2-3 5-6+ft sativas
I am wondering if I can grow both of these under the same hps/ mh light.

I was planning on getting a 600W but It would be nice to go to 450w. I also have 8 21w 460 nm actinic 3' bright blue aquarium lights. Im planning on cloning with fluorescents but im wondering if I can just use the aquarium lights. I was thinking of using several vertically on walls for mothers as well.

Is this possible? My room is approx h-7.5'x w- 3' x l-5'

I would do more then this but my "stealth door" opens inwards so that restricts it a bit.

Different height plants require a different design for best results. A normal top lighting system will have issues producing quality bud on plants of significantly different heights. Top lighting has an ideal range and you adjust the height to put your canopy into it. If your canopy is of all different heights that is impossible, so instead we have to design to make that ideal range much larger. The design change that works to fix this is to move most of your lighitng from above/ceiling to the walls. Run 50%-66% of your lights on the walls with 33-50% on the ceiling. Note the wall lights must be Florescent (T5/T8) or low power leds (.5w-1w emitters.) This is because plants can grow right up to touch them so they don't waste all your space like 3w+ led or stronger bulbs. You can also add hanging CFLs in the middle if you really want to get the best distribution.

Your aquarium lights will work fine for Veg/Cloning or as supplemental in flower.

Would be funny/cool if you put a pot in front of the door with a string on it attached to the door. Open the door it slides into it's neighbors, close the door and the string pulls it back into place.

I'm just starting to play with C99 as my sativa, but it acts much like an indica from what I have read, might be one to look at if you just want sativa bud.

sweet got my first reply fast! I havent added up the lumens to figure out how many fluorescence I would need on the walls but can I put a 250 sodium / MS bulb on top?

I am reluctant to post pictures but I may do so later today simply because I want to illustrate what my room looks like

Yep, 250w HPS/MH up top plus 600w of T5HO or Small Leds on the walls, maybe a floating CFL or two in the middle if it gets crowded in there. Target 6000-8000 lumens per sqft for the best results possible, but you can start a bit lower and add more as you go if needed.

For the T5/T8 bulbs look at 3 types:
3000-3500k More red for flower
5500-6500k More blue for veg/stem/stock
UVB (reptile, tanning, or arcadia) Resin/THC production stimulant

It would be cool if you could really train those sativas, but they might actually stretch more with lower lighting. If you can turn that stretch into horizontal growth for an even canopy...this is an area I can't help you with I'm sorry to say...Good call on side lighting

So now im thinking of starting off with 3-4 different auto strands on cfls / Aquarium bulbs and after short veg time 250 watt hps or mh. Not sure which Is best for autos

Yes - remember the sativa's will out grow the indica's in relation the height; they :sativa's can grow twice the size of indica's
