Need advice on improving my set up

Hey Rollitup fam,

I've been growing cannabis the last 3 years, I learned mostly everything from the Internet and forums .
I wanted to share my set up and maybe get some advice on what I could be doing wrong.

So my current set up is:

60"x60"x80" Grow Tent
Ventilation:
150 mm 6-Inch intake fan
150 mm 6-Inch extracting Fan + 6" Carbon Filter attached
6" Mini Clip fan
12" Standing fan facing grow tent wall on a medium speed
Lights:
Phlizon 1200W LED - Actual Wattage 305 watts
BESTVA DC Series 1800W LED 390 - Actual Wattage 390 watts
Current Grow:
8 7 Gallon Fabric Pot with soil 65% and perlite 35% - Feminized seeds
9.5 Weeks from flip
8 Weeks from first signs of bloom
Temprature with lights on between 20c/68f and 24c/75f
Temprature at night 15c/59f to 18c/64.4f
I dont have any CO2 tanks installed
General Hydroponics full line

I've gotten mixed results from each grow,
I recently got light burn on some of my plants even though I had it above the recommended height. I've seen a lot of nice dense grows at much lower LED watts, should I invest in different lights? should I invest in HPS instead? Am I giving them too much light?

Any advice to enhance my set up would be appreciated
Thanks

id try to utilized your grow space better looks like you can fit more plants in

i would probably stop using soil and synthetic nutrients and go ether full organic or full hydro

Thanks for the quick replies.

Could you link me an example of a hydroponic setup?
I actually started 3 years ago with homemade DWC buckets but really found it a pain changing the water, I wouldn't mind investing in a proper set up with a reservoir.

the question is do you want easy or hard set up

hydro is more effort but grows quicker, organic is easier but grows slower although many will argue that both have its difficulties

you need to find the easiest and most efficient way to grow for you and your life style

organics can be good if you have a busy life and cant maintain ph ec and water all the time and maintain equipment

hydro you'll have to be home more and be more involved in the grow. unless you automate everything then you can leave it alone or around a week at a time

rdwc or flood and drain system would be my go to for a bigger hydro set up. in a tent i feel the only option would be a rdwc system as a flood and drain table plus res would take allot of room up .

you will need to consider plant count depending on your laws. if you are legal then run your max amount of plants lots of them but smaller. if its illegal probably better to grow one big plant over lots of small ones

you could try coca if you want to learn how to mix nutrients. read ec and ppm plus maintain a ph and start doing more hydro style
you could still use fabric pots and hand water. coca has many of its own problems though

Try coco drain to waste.
You need more light.
Maybe try a 1000w hps air cooled.
Or add another 200-300 real watt led.
Hang your standing light from the ceiling and point it down at your plants.
If you stick with LED aim for 80f

1 plant scrogged through the whole tent?
I have a lot of time to check and maintain my grow.
I'll look into rdwc setups!
Thank you

Did you mean standing fan?
I have a 1000w HPS w/ hood sitting in my Amazon cart. Should I run only that? or couple it with some LEDs?

maybe this would help u to choose i trying to make my set up like this in 1m x 1m x 2m looks like make a flood & drain with a top feeding goes nice for hem.

Lol yeah standing fan, not light! :bigjoint:

The 1000w HPS will perform fine on its own. Stick with your LEDs for veg becasue they do veg well.
