Need advice on lighting. Any help would be appreciated.

Shall I post u some pics from LED grows to prove it?

it is always best to have more points of light then less i wouldn't use anything less then a 600 w I would use 2 600 W bulbs in that tent less heat. get them closer to the plant so 24 inches close to a plant with a 1000 w i would go 15 to 18 inches close to it with a 600 W.

And that right there is the 80w UFO LED light that I was talkin bout. But I bet they really grew that under a diff light and just put it under that LED light for the pic huh nugs.

i don't see shit there dude. show me pics of your grow with actually buds that look like they weigh something. not shitty pics from 15 feet away with a disposible camera that show nothing. you can grow plants with fucking strobe lights. i could have grown that plant in the picture with 3 24w cfl's. buds are what seperate the men from the boys.

Ok so what exactly is ur point, I was tryin to help someone light questions about a combo of spectrums and u guys start talkin about lumens which proves u really don't know shit, cause all I'm trying to say is if u want a light that will not produce alot of heat if u already have one HID light going is to use a CFL. And the whole purpose of a cfl is that it generates less lumens and less heat. So what is the point ur trying to make that you can only grow with a light that has high lumens, cause u just contradicted urself by saying u can have a grow like that with 3 26w cfl bulbs. So what is it ur trying to say?

I just realized sumptin, u don't really have anything constructive to say do u nugs. U just like the sound of ur own voice(or words in this case). It proves it just from the fact that u have posted almost 500 times on here in 4 months wow I seriously doubt that even if ed rosenthal joined this forum he could give that many ppl advise in only 4 months.

I believe this thread deals with a very specific set of questions, let's not get into a pissing match over LED vs HID. We are all after the same end goal, herb. The fact that there are many paths to acheive this goal shouldn't be a reason for us to bicker about who's is better. This is a bit like arguing over titties, which is better big or small, natural or enhanced.

i believe this is what is called flamming a thread. i literally have no clue what you are babbling about. you brought up 26w CFL's and 105w CFL's that produce as much as a 400w light etc, etc... please show me where i said anything about lumens growing plants. seriously. my posts aren't edited so show me where i said lumens grow plants. obviously i know something cause a lot of people come to me for advice. that's why i have a thread count so high. also, having a grow journal tends to do that. the idea behind a forum is to interact. judging from your responses you probably don't get out of the house much. well inbred...let me be the first to welcome you to the internet. flame on toolbag.

I have a 25" X 36"X 8 ft closet will a 400 hps cool tube be to much for this area and if so what kind of vent setup will work good

ur a dick hole. lol. sorry but i said u can get them in almost the same spectrums dick hole and the lumens is just a decent way to measure the visible light coming from ur bulb. i know visible light isnt most important when it comes to plants but do u think 2 lights with the same spectrum's but different intensities are going to be the same? a 400 works ur cfls hands down. even a simple 250mh puts ur cfls hands down watt for watt. is what i was saying. so actually read the post before trying to come back. and yes u can buy a 65k bulb dick hole so go fuck urself. check the link.

a 400 would be perfect but a 250 would even work with the amount of space ur using. a 400 will give u a boost if u decide to go bigger and get a 2x4 tent or something later on. but u will have to get a decent fan to vent it. no running booster fans. get an actual inline fan. hydrofarm 6 inch would work perfect about 79 bucks on ebay with free shipping. might want to get a controller also cuz 400 cfms is a lot for a 2x3 space and they are about 20 bucks with shipping. but like i said before it will give u a head start if u decide to go bigger. we all said i just want some personal bud then u grow some and get adicted and move up into the world. would have saved a lot of cash just getting the good stuff up front. lol. plus if u decide growing isnt for u its easier to resel the good stuff on craigslist to get more money back in ur pocket.

That's fine see I'm a big enough man to admit when I'm proven wrong but then again unless u go lookin for it I'm pretty sure the standard bulb is lower, and of course a MH beats a cfl, I never even debated this fact, so for all u who wanna talk shit about me and say I don't know what I'm talkin bout why don't you read what I actually posted. The whole point of suggesting a cfl for someone who is already using an HID light is in case they have any heat concerns. And wheels ur another one just like nugs that like to hear urself talk. I mean who do u think u are Jorge Cervantes how many times a day do u sit on ur ass posting on here to get up to almost 1300 posts in 8 months.
