I think with all the holes your gonna have a leak at some point or another.
Exposed tubes can have problems for light leaks.
Made mine to keep it all inside the tote and shrunk it down to work in a 24" x 48" x 6"...holds 2 plant in each tote/bin.

It specifically DOESN'T use air pumps or air stones.

Are those 2" slip fittings? If so do you have problems with them leaking? Im looking at 3" glue on (one side) bulkheads but having trouble finding them

Seen that, im having trouble finding 3" bulkheads
what i don't like about that design is that you can't drain the entire system easily.

take your 5 gal buckets, elevate them and see if you can find shower drains. they are basically a 2" sllip bulkhead and you get a cool metal grate to keep crap out. they cost a bit more but if you are only using a few, who cares.

if you have a floor drain anywhere near your grow room, adding a drain line is well worth it. i would open a valve and the whole system drained

They're on this website bro. But 3" isn't necessary. 2" will do you just fine. The only time I'd recommend using 3" is if your sites are over 15gallons of WATER so 25-30gal tote, where your plan on growing some TREES which typically could possibly pose an issue clogging 2". 1" to 2" is 4x the space, 2" to 3" is only 2.25x larger. So the real leap is from 1 to 2.

Oh damn, they don't have 3" on that site anymore, my apologies. If your DEAD SET on 3" then you should really use Current cultures brand. They have a special tool that you use to tighten them and everything.
