Listen...if you live in cali....then technically every person in that apartment can have atleast 6 plants growing legally. So why are you so worried? If they are only growing like 6 or 8 plants then they are legal. Like think of this scenario. If a man has his med card...but his wife doesnt...does that mean his wife is in the wrong for living in a house where it is growing? no. So you are fine man.

Update...
Room mates have expanded the grow to about 24 indoor plants and 4 outdoor. I did not get my card. With them adding more and more, and more people finding out about the grow (id estimate 50-60+ people know) I dont feel safe.
Last chance before I move out, is there any hope that I can live here feeling safe?

Your friends are dipshits. I'd be trippin if 2 people knew about my grow...
If u smoke weed, and u live n cali, u should get a card. if u dnt, u r taking an unnecessary risk, & those r the 1's that bite u n the ass.
There is no secret list of weed smokers that are going to be rounded up. there are sooo many ppl who smoke, the gov is way more interested in how they can make money on weed than how they can stop ppl from smoking.
as far as roomies growing u hav nothing to worry about...
...unless they lie 2 u about how many plants...
...if they are over the legal limit for their COUNTY, it is a crime, and you'll be compliant to that crime, and you will be part of the investigation. u more than likely wont get jail time, but u'll hav to deal w/the law and probably pay for lawyers.
state law says u can have 6 flowering plants OR 12 vegetative plants PER person. Counties can make their own decisions about if they want to allow patients to grow MORE, but not less.
So as long as u r not flowering more than 6 plants per patient, u guys r legal STATEWIDE

Why don't you pony up a consultation fee and go see a lawyer in your area who handles these things? It would be fuckloads more reliable than asking any of these stoners here. Hightimes has a legal directory. Check it out.
