Need Aeroponics help. +Rep to those with experience

I'm currently in the planning stage of a 24 plant site aeroponics setup and am needing some help.

Currently, I plan on using 4- 4" Vinyl square fence posts in 5' lengths with 6 plant sites in each one with a footprint of 3.5'x5' for a SoG style grow.

I'll be constructing a manifold out of 1/2" or 3/4" pvc pipe with 7 misters per fence post and I'm needing to figure out what size waterpump would be best in order to get an ultra fine mist and what brand you might recommend for durability and such.

I'm also going to be employing a cycle timer that will allow the system to come on in bursts as short as 30 seconds but again, I'm looking for a voice of experience. Optimally, I would like to do a drain to waste but that may not be practical if I'm flying through my rez daily.

I'm not a total newb as far as growing goes and I read a ton but sometimes you've got to hear it from those that know.

So, to summarize, for a 24 plant site aeroponic setup with a total of 28 misters:
What size waterpump should i use?
Would you recommend a 1/2" or 3/4" manifold?
How often would you recommend watering and for how long should i water at a time?

This sounds a lot like the Stinkbud harvest a pound every three weeks system. Have you read that thread?
