need help asap!

So I've been combating what I think is a nutrient deficiency for about a week now. At first I thought it was a N deficiency but I gave it a bump and nothing. I than got some advice and figured it is most likely a magnesium deficiency. I applied 1/4 teaspoon of Dyna gros mag pro 24 hours ago and it may have slowed down the yellowing of the leaves but it still doesn't seem to have stopped. I am not really sure what to do at this point. Has anyone else had this issue?

The leaves are a very light green and seem to be yellowing starting from the bottom leaves tips working its way up. The bottom leaves are about completely yellow and I want to fix the issue before too late. Thanks for help and responses.

What brand of soil? I see organic, but what brand?

Its a brand sold just here. I have been nervous about possible time release nutes.

Looks like that should be good soil. If it were me I'd go to Home Depot and buy a bag of Kellogg's Patio Plus (I'm in Cali, not sure where u are). I think I paid 4.97 for 1.5 cu ft. Good organic stuff in there. I add perlite to the Patio Plus when I use it. I get great results with the Kellogg's products. With a plant that small your soil should have PLENTY of food for your plant to eat, hell my plants are 5' tall and 5' wide and I haven't even fed them yet. That yellowing may be from over feeding, be careful when feeding young plants.

Wow dude without feeding them??? It was yellowing before the I started feeding which is why I'm concerned. Could it be from a fluctuation in the pH levels? I just ran to Lowes and picked up a pH meter. I am back and it tested 6.9... I want to transplant to the ground would you recommend that soil for the ground? I wanted to get promix, perlite, and vermiculite and make the soil 50,35,15 but i cant find pro mix anywhere

Ph or nute burn causing lockout

Magnesium and phosphorous deficiency. 1 tablespoon of Epson salts in a gallon of water and use a shot of bloom formula. Plants need phosphorous in veg too.

alright so an update with my issue.

It has been a week since i fed the plants any nutes what so ever and they look fine but the tips are still burning. It started with the bottom leaves and now is making its way farther and farther up the plant. I have flushed a couple times now. Could it be the soil? I am thinking it would be best to transplant asap into something less "hot" for the plants. I was thinking happy frog? any recommendations? I just want to get this to stop spreading. They look amazing other than that.

Some folks laugh at me, but I've been using Ironite 1-0-1 for many years(before that I used the Ironite 7-6-6). Use it and these problems won't occur. I also, for insurance apply small amounts of volcanic ash. It contains many rare elements, and provides a boost where micronutes are depleted. Any time I apply NPK, I add Epsom salts(Magnesium Salts) in small amounts( about 5% of total weight). You can assume the plant will need food when the third leaf pair becomes visible. Feed lightly but regularly.

I am nervous to feed them anymore because i feel as something else is wrong. I know now that it is definitely a nutrient lockout due to pH or the soil is too rich for them. I just dont know where to go from here...

Best solution? I'd transplant her into one gallon pots with a high quality mix. Water heavily, once, and then don't water again for a week, or when the soil is dry an inch down. My first post is general feeding advice. Your problem could be many different things. I think a larger container and a good watering are in order.

I start my seeds in 2 1/4 peat pots. When the second leaf pair shows, I transplant then into one gallon pots. Once sexed, the girls go in the ground. Usually mid April.

Sometimes the best cure is a new home and time.

Looks to me like you were over watering followed by too much n. I'd flush drain and let that shit dry out nice.
