Im a newbie and started some GPS mixed seeds. Can someone help me confirm these two are males? I believe they are but im not 100% confident. Also, what do you do with your males when you have them short of trying to cross breed which is over my head being a newbie. Thanks for your help.
My second question is i have some fan leaves that are bigger than my hand on a plant or two. Would you trim those off to allow better sunlight to the lower branches? The plants are 6 wks old aprox. There are a couple massive fan leaves that i was not sure what to do with? Is is better to let them absorb more light and trim later or remove them now so the parts of the plat I want to grow gets more light/nutrients?

Those both look like males. I personally wouldn’t trim any fan leaves at this point.
is there any point in keeping males short of cross breeding them? not real sure what to do with them althought i hate the thought of killing any of those beautiful flowers.

I don’t know of any reason to keep them if you’re not breeding. Pull them before they pollinate you’re other plants.

Unless you want every bud to be half seeds carefully pull them now. Like slip a bag over them cut the stem and spray your other plants with water.

why spray the otherplants? i thouhgt it takes time for them to cross pollenate or that may not be the proper term. they are in dif grow containers and seperated outdoors and it pretty much rains every day here. If they are worthless ill cut them tommorrow and start a few new F seeds i know are F. I just was not sure if there was any point to keeping them if Im not cross breeding stuff.
