Hello,

I am thinking about switching to CoCo core medium. Someone told me that the CoCO core will take the PH of what you are adding. Are you suppose to use lime with this? Also how much perilite should I mix with this? I do not want to water every day.

Any advise would be great:eyesmoke:

i use coco now, depending on how you bought it you really just need to wash it out. i bought it in a brick and had to just had to wash it out no lemon needed. as for mixture i do a 50/50 with perlite. i know ppl that use less perlite as well and it works fine

i use plain ready to use coco.
the main thing you want is coco that has not been grown or harvested near the coast.

coco should be inert, certain coco nutes are available for different types of water, hard and soft and some of these adjust their own ph based upon this.

large pots usually need less watering, whereas smaller one's will need to be watered almost every day, if its an issue get a drip system.
