NEED HELP (First grow/3€ Cannabis Starter Kit)

Hey people...

Last trip to amsterdam I bought a 3€ Cannabis Starter Kit and I need some help about my grow.

I really didn't want to waste much money so I kept everything as simple as possible.

Here are the specifications of my first attempt:

-Strain: ???? (it should be a bad one because gave me tiny buds and it was very cheap comparing with the prices of internet seeds.)
-Light: Single 25 Watts CFL for 2 plants/pots;
-Fertilizer: 5-5-5 (NPK)
-Growing time: 4 months (2 VEG and 2 Flowering aprox.)
-Never checked the water ph;
- Temperature: about 25ºC

And now the questions:

Is it normal to have so tiny buds? Even with a cheap strain as the starter kit?

The hair are completely brown and I tried to see the trichomes but i dont understand if they are amber enough or just transparent. Are they ready to harvest?

Any suggestions?

I'm sorry but the questions should have come before the grow, you were never going to yield anything with that light regardless of strain
 
already pointed out but a single 25w cfl...... that's BEYOND ridiculous. did you not read ANYTHING at ALL on lighting.. or how to grow the plant..? christ man. lol
 
Mate you can do it cheap, just not that cheap. Get yourself some more lights a couple of little fans and a couple of fem seeds, hang out here ask a lot of questions, a lot more reading and you will get something for your time and efforts.
 
For 2 plants you should have had about 10X the light you have.

Put as much light as you can in there for another 5 -7 days, then they'll be ready.

I use(d) a mixed spectrum of CFL's at a 3:1 ratio of 3000K to 6500K for flower, veg is the other way around.

1 plant, minimum 100(real)Watts, for every additional plant you'll nedd at least another 50W.

For 2 plants 250 - 300W is realistic.

Yeahhh I know I'm a newbie yet, I really wanted to try the "cheap" way... Moreover I really have a tiny space and need small pots for litlle plants. And YES, they have drain holes =)

Next try I'm going to buy at least 4 CFLs

Just one more question... Can I smoke hermaphrodite plant anyway? I wouldnt want to waste 4 months for nothing. lol

What should I do?

LOL no man dont use those lights they might be ok for veg (wouldnt suggest that either) but never flower. Google HPS grow light setup dont go smaller than 400W that should atleast send you down the right track
 
Yes, you can smoke it. You should smoke it, you've got 4 months into it. Also, since you have a small space, check out the micro growing forum. You'll gain the knowledge you need to do it right. Congrats on finishing your first grow, whatever strain you have it's some hardy stuff. Hope it packs a punch.
 
Yeap, u can smoke it. But come on Brah.....U got to do better than that. I understand being cost effective but, DAMN!!! U can chop that little thing and dry it. I guess u might as well get something out of it.
 
If you want to grow with CFLs then buy Buds for Less by SeeMore Buds. You'll get all the info that you need for a good grow.
 
Started off just like you did but with a few more cfls..... If you can rustle up 50 bucks you can make a nice cfl setup depending on environmental condition. More light, more airflow besides that its the best way to start without breaking the bank. Just don't expect a lot of return this method. To me its more about figuring out how to read the plant and just in general seeing the plants go through their life cycles before your own eyes. Good Luck OP
 
You don't need an HID, or anything over 150w to produce decent product off of two plants.

Since it sounds like your space is limited, 100-150W might be all you can use/fit/cool. There's a huge difference between 25W and even what 100W can do.

As far as the current setup, chop & dry 'em and rethink your whole process.

If heat is an issue, look into LED or T5/T8 lighting.
 
Wow... I'm surprised those plants even survived that long lol.

But to answer your questions, no, the buds shouldn't be that tiny... you need at the VERY least 10 times the amount of lighting. You can grow with CFL's but you need LOTS AND LOTS more wattage. Chop em, dry em, smoke em and maybe you'll feel something.. lol.
 
You can grow dense killer bud under cheap T12 shop lights if you know what you're doing.

I did it 20 years ago, ran a real nice Cat Piss cut for 3 years in a closet under T12's worked fine. The thing about T12's is you can put it like an inch from the plant without burning it.
