I'm in the same boat as eza, I've seen week long trips before but I of course planned for those events. Yea he either has a secret problem or it's the bs card in my opinion. And week long trips get rough I will say that. If he made it through a hospital and was released then I'm leaning towards bs

My cousin did a lot of drugs and meth and it brought out schizophrenia in him. Have you checked into that?

shit i know this is kinda old post,,, but that shit happened to my best friend when i was a young teenager,,, he was a normal kid until he started taking 7 Extacy pills a day (OD'ed), and smoked a ton of pot. He started talking about "E" like it was a girl or something. Very weird... He ended up doing a lot of crazy shit, like seeing his dead grandfather talking to him from the tv, crashing his car into his house, and thinking a few big celebrities at the time where conspiring against him.
He ended up admitting himself into a mental hospital and stayed there for almost a year... He was told by the doctors, that phycosis harbored in him, and it was unlocked by the abuse of the Extacy.
When he got out of lthe hospital, he started smoking pot again. Although weed didnt make him crazy, it did set his physcosis off every time since his OD.
Some people just cant handle certain mind altering substances, and some people that can handle it, think they're invincible and go overboard.
Either way that kinda shit can set something off inside of a person prone to mental illness.

you need to get your friend to stop using all drugs. not even alcohol or weed. im not talking forever, just for now until things clear. maybe have him see a psychiatrist(these doctors specialize in medicine, they are not counselors) maybe get him on some xanax or some kind of benzodiazepine to settle him down. if things dont clear in weeks i would try an SSRI. dont beleive all the stupid bullshit people say to downtalk SSRIs. although they are not for everyone, they are very helpful when used properly. i've taken them in the past for anti anxiety and they do work great besides the side effects at first. the thing is a lot of people just go to a normal physician. a psychiatrist knows drugs and the brain very well and can be more help sometimes in this area. after things clear up, then if he wants smoke weed and shit again. maybe stay away from other drugs tho. especially meth, thats some bad shit.

No it wasnt the OPs friend who died, it was someone else who posted in the thread and was talking about a similar incident, I believe.
edit: yea it wasnt the OP, ch33ch said it on page 10 (post 100) of this thread, he was talking about another incident. The OP said that his friend had gotten better.

well theres a few things that can possibly do that. have u ever met a person who tests batches of acid? they usually dont live 2 long , would be nothing for bad acid 2 turn sum1 on a loop. iv seen a guy who was looped out by allegery pills, he took 45 CCC's and he never came down. now he thinks hes sandwich and thinks hell go bad if u touch him. :/ i didn no him well but still, that would sux to happen 2 any1.

I haven't heard of people dieing from LSD, but I don't know if I'd call it one of the safest things. I've had a couple of friends come out of a really bad trip, and never completely go back to normal. It wasn't anything extreme, but they've always been a little bit off since then.

I don't, and I don't care. I just know what I've experienced and seen.
I'm not here on some anti-LSD campaign or anything. I've had some great times with it.
But, like I said, I've seen bad trips change people permanently. It wasn't drastic change, but it didn't change them for the better. Sure, alcohol, aspirin, and many other drugs could actually kill a person, but I haven't seen friends changed permanently from a single use of one of those drugs. I just think that there's more to calling something dangerous than just judging how easily someone can be poisoned or killed by it. And, I don't think acid is that dangerous, I'm just saying that it would not be anywhere near the top of my list of least dangerous drugs for someone to experiment with.
Anyway, I guess what it boils down to is a matter of different opinions. I'm not saying you're wrong/I'm right - I just have a different take on LSD.
