While browsing the web i encountered a foodsafe product for extracting that comes in cans that look like butane cans, contain 500gm, and cost US$10.
Now i cant remember what it is lol. I remember finding i could buy it on ebay ( no shipping to my country of course, but still intrigued )

It had a scary chemical name, and i think its what they use to commercially extract plant oils for beauty industry and food.

Can anyone help me with the name?

Hexane is used for a lot of food oils extractions. It's just a liquid and doesn't have to be in pressure containers tho. Handle it like naphtha.

Like with olives the first press is Virgin then they may do a 2nd press and what's left over gets hexane added to extract the remaining oil then the hexane is recovered and the oil from that is your bargain brand olive oil.

Diethyl ether is also just a liquid.

:peace:
