Add some beneficial bacteria to the soil(mycorrhizae) and the roots will take off. The single leaflet sounds f'ed up though

Add some great white and humic acid to the mix and it should be promote your root growth. I do agree however that the single leaflet doesn't sound right.

Actually the mother was in flower ,up until a week ago my clone was still sprouting pistils......as far as the pot its in,,,I think its a 2 gallon black bucket...forts Alaskan fish emultion, but I've been giving reg bottle water lately...my soil was some organic nute free ,with perlite... yeah ,I've benn told about 4times to get rid of it ,

Buds is onto something here.. If you cut a clone from a flowing mother its going to take a long time to come back to the full vegetative stage. Be patient my man.
( You can try what toxin said.. maybe 24h/o will help especially cause it was cut in flower) (single blade leaves sounds like a sick plant..any pics?)

My micro clone was tiny and had leaves the size of tylenol caplets:
