NEED help WITH MY EC METER

i got this mesuring wand on one side it has a reading of x500 and on the other x 700 which one should i take,what strenght for veg and what for flowering,i was told for veg. start with 250 and then move up by 50ppm every other watering till i hit 750ppm and then in flowering from 750 every watering till i hit 1250 and lower it down by 50ppms till the flush,now with reding this applys to

your a experienced grower can u help me with this fertelizre problem that i have,i live in europe in a undeveloped country and the best flowerinf fert i could find is 15-40-15 the guy at the store told me that i could use this and that after a week add some potassium nitrate and then after 2 weeks add some calcium is this correct
 
That's the problem with TDS meters and ppm. They give you 2 standards of measure because all it will ever be is an interpretation of EC. If you want accurate measures, you need microsiemens (EC).

As for that meter, using the 700 scale will keep you safer than the 500 scale. Basically 700 will read hotter than 500, so there is less risk of burning if you go solely by the 700.

As for those nutes; they should be complete fertilizers with everything the plant needs for that phase of growth. you should no have to be supplementing anything at all, and if you find that you are getting true deficiencies, you may want to find another brand or switch formulas.
 
15-40-15 it has all the macro and micro elements in it i just wanted to add some potassium and calcium to make a better formula is that possible
 
i got some advice from a grower on this site he told me i should use a 2-10-8 npk fert. in flowering and when i ask at the store for something like that this is the closest they had 15-40-15 and the clerk told me that i could use that one and then after a week add a little bit of potassium and after another week add just a little calcium,the initial fert. has all the nutes i need i just wanted to add this to make it better,is it unnecessary

Yeah bro; your nutrient is already 15% potassium and calcium is a micronutrient. Your tap water will be full of calcium anyway.
