Hey guys so I started my first grow from seed. The last one was from clone and came out alright, not super amazing but not bad.

I started with 2 plants and lost one, it's roots weirdly grew straight down in the small pots I had them started in and root bound in a perfect circle at the bottom. For some reason it didn't want to spread its roots out and stunted its growth/started to wither after transplant.

This one now has been transplanted for almost 2 weeks and for some reason started showing the deficiencies around the time of transplant. It also has droopy leaves majority of the time which I don't know if that's normal.

GROW SET UP:

  • Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil
  • Mars Hydro 300w LED light
  • Tent is a 2.5 x 2.5 x 6 tent
  • AC Infinity S4 exhaust
  • 2 small fans
  • Humidifer
I still have 6 more seeds and can grow a max of 2 plants in this size tent. Is it worth it to keep going with this grow or start fresh? Any tips or suggestions appreciated.

Soil is too hot for a starter. Oh boy. Please read and talk more with community. Best wishes.

The ppm was at 1150 when I first watered after transplant so I ran water through 2 times in 1 watering to try to bring it down. Maybe I'm doing all this wrong but I'm new to this lol.

I will cut to chase … I pretty much run FFOF at times.

1. FFOF ph at 6.3 out of bag .
2. Added perlite helps / improves drainage
3. PH your water and or feed ( when time to ) at 6.6/6.7
4. Make sure grow area temps are good for grow
5. FFOF will feed that plant for weeks without any additional Nutes.
6. FFOF can be a bit HOT to some young plants however they will acclimate as long as you don’t dump other shit in.

The extra perlite is a good idea cuz its retaining water significantly lol. For sure though I'll check out your stuff. Do either of you suggest restarting or continuing with this grow?

That's what I was thinking... suggest restarting or continuing? And trust me I read and watch videos constantly and everyone has their own opinion on things which makes it hard for me to come to a conclusion on the routes to take...
Watch your plants. We people are arrogant. I suggest straight tap water and a hard flushing now. Should make it past the starter stage then.

You are not in super soil. You are in super promoted soil. Read up on organic water soluble ferts. Dry organics ferts and organic dry teas to amend.

Lol, for sure. I use straight tap water that's left out a minimum of 24 hours. Idk if it would be considered a hard flush, but the moisture in the soil now is from watering till run off was pretty significant 2x back to back. I'll read up on the nutes you suggested. I know all of you have been growing for a long time and have a lot of knowledge, but everyone started somewhere and I'm at that stage now.
