Need help!!!!!!

Ok so my girls moms boyfriend is drunk getting arrested and decides to blurt out the fact that i got 4 plants growing. The police, without saying or asking anything, drives 5 houses down from the scene of the arrest then walks into my backyard and busts me for my plants.
Not that im worried about jail or anything, but does this sound legal???

if you had the plants outside, and you're not legal, then they're "in plain view"....

i think you're in deep shit if he threw you under the bus. i'd kick his ass, and if he's going into the slammer for 30 days or so, tell some of the other inmates that he's a snitch.... that'll get him off your back....
