In florida it's called Pre Trial Intervention. It's probably the same idea, just different states have different labels for it.

This sounds like a job that can be handled by a public defender, if you get a cool one. Unfortunately, it sounds like the cop really took advantage of you and the judge is going to take the cops word over yours.
You could always take out a student loan to hire a real asshole lawyer to ream the cop a new one, maybe you can get the possession charge dropped as well as the DUI, although you may walk away with a fat ticket.. Sorry dude, better luck next time.

i think if people want to be ignorant and drive drunk they should have a special roadway for just drunk drivers. it would speed up natural selection.

everyday i have to drive by the spot where a drunk driver killed one of my best friends. i still see the woman who killed her from time to time...its not fair.

im sure he knows it, but just to clarify...i was not telling shepj to screw himself. it was generally directed at those who would drive drunk.
