My plants are looking super bushy, I'm wanting to trim them but this is my first grow and I'd love some advice.

I've done a lot of LST as I hope you can tell. I just put the netting up today.

Let me know if I should lollipop em or just do some trimming of lower leaves.

popped on 1/3 and I'm looking to switch to flower soon I'd also appreciate advice on this. Do they look ready? maybe 1-2 weeks? My tent height is only 5ft or so and I don't want to risk them getting too big for the tent.

I lollipop my plants, mostly to keep lower leaves from touching the soil. Foliage touching the soil is supposed to be a great way to get powdery mildew. I'm new to scrog and I defoliated (schwazzed) them pretty hard. I'm regretting it now. My biggest plants are doing fine but the smaller ones are dropping some leaves in week 6 of flower. Next run I'll leave more fans.
They look nice but they're filling your tent up pretty well and they haven't stretched yet. Any way to put another trellis up above them? You may want to flip soon since your space is limited.

I would just snip off any really low fan leaves that aren't getting light. Then 2-3 weeks after you flip, I would cut off everything that doesn't at least hit the net.

You can check out how I did mine here: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/90132-grand-daddy-purple-grand-daddy-purple-grow-journal-by-the8thchevron
From the grow bibles I've found they suggest lollipopping a few days BEFORE flipping. Any reason why 2-3 weeks after? thank you for the tips. Your plants are beautiful!

Yea, I lollipop a few days before flipping, but after the stretch, the foliage blows up again and could use another trimming. I suppose if you're more aggressive than me beforehand, perhaps you don't need to go again. Definitely don't want to do it until the main part of the stretch is over, so that's why 2-3 weeks after flipping.

I looked up shwazzing. Seems super intense, maybe ill try it in a few years when I have a lot more experience under my belt. I think I'll just do mild lollipopping before flip and then do more a few weeks in. Good luck with the smaller plants hopefully they pick up! I have another trelles waiting to be put up once the plants are taller, the amazon pack I got came with two. Thanks for the help.

Great Idea. I think ill copy your method as I'm scared of snipping too much. Thanks!

I am an avid defol and lolipop fan. Your girls are too short. Need some stretch. No stick for the goodies. I suggest raising your light a bit and removing the older lower shade leaves for air flow. After some stretch you can lolli from the 4th or 5th node from top. I an done hard trimming by week 5 from actual flower. Best wishes.
