some background...

in early july, i went to the state fair and my phone fell out of my pocket on a ride and shattered

i bought another one...

that makes my current useless phone only less than 4 months old

yesterday i went to take a picture with the camera, and kept getting a "No Camera Sensor" message

about 2 minutes later the error message "This is not our adapter" keeps popping up every 8 seconds (i was not trying to plug anything in at anytime)

when i try to call out, it says i have no service
when i try to text, it says i have no service
when some one trys to call in, goes straight to voicemail and gives me the error message "Over Temp"

when i try to charge, it says battery full, then turns off because the battery is dead when i unplug it

my question to you, the RIU community, is should this phone be replaced free of charge, or should i have to pay because they fucked up

obviously they should pay, but with phone companys good luck with that one. Anyone could say that it "just happend"
My advice would be just get a cheap 20 buck phone.

Easiest way to get a new phone...if it isn't water damaged is to call Verizon and say this(I used to work for t-mobile but all there customer service is virtually the same)

Hi I bought this new phone less then 4 months ago....it stopped turning on completely and I don't know why. There isn't any water damage or physical damage to the device and id like you to honor my 1 year manufacturers.

Then they will ask to "trouble shoot it" which usually involves pulling the battery or a reset...but because you said it doesn't turn on...there isn't much to trouble shoot...so just do what they ask...well just pretend to do what they ask. Then they will take your info and send you a new one no questions asked. Promise. If not let me deal with them....i'll get you a new phone.

BUT if it's got any physical damage(besides scratches and scrapes i.e. normal wear and tear) like a cracked screen or broken camera or water damage...they won't replace it.

Might I ask what phone you have?
