Hey everyone, I am starting up a new grow setup and need some advice. So, for my previous grow I used;

3 Chinese 133 true watt LEDs, 4 23 watt cfls at canopy.

My grow room size is around:
6 feed wide, 2 1/2 feet deep and it's around 8 feet tall. Although I really actually only have 6 feet of usable space.

What Im doing is, I just bought a Nanolux 315 cmh for a smoking deal. ($180). I wanted to hang that in the middle of the grow room and then hang 1 led ufo grow light on each side. It's around 55 true watts for each led.

My question is, do you think that cmh plus two LEDs will be enough coverage? I use 3 five gallons pots in a row. I'm trying to cut down on watts. The bastard electric company just doubled my cost of kwh to .16 per 1kw.

Also, I will not be vegging under these lights. I will be using two of my 133 watt LED panels in a small 2x2 tent. My goal is to have a veg and flower chamber. I can continue on a perpetual grow.

I would think that you should have enough photon output to give a decent PPFD. Only unknown would be how well the CMH distributes, the ufo's should be good for 1-1.5 sqft apiece. I also understand that CMH can kick out quite a bit of heat, any provisions in place to handle that?

Most say that the cmh will do a 3x3 space comfortably and can do a little more at a higher height. I know the cmh's perfect spectral output make a world of difference as far as light quality. I see its very comparable to a 600 watt hps minus the large footprint. As far as heat goes, I have a filter and fan pulling heat out of the grow area and am ducting it into my crawl space. For summer I vent an AC in and have it temp controlled. For winter I pull cold air with a duct fan on a temp control. As well as I have a fan on my canopy.
