your right on point, best way to learn is experience, most valuable and meaningful education you could get on something like growing, reading is about 1/4 of it, the rest is exactly what you said, trial and error. many people have different ways to grow this crop too, my only suggestion is to never pick the most expensive route, people make mj a lot more complicated to grow than it really is, its just like any other acid loving plant except we treat it dearly because we will one day ingest it by smoking it, and everyone wants to know how to get the best taste, highest potency, and highest yield, many factors go into determining this, mostly strain dependent but conditions are also very vital.
you gotta long road ahead of you, likely filled with misconceptions and complications(especially on these forums, take every piece of advice with a grain of salt), but you could honestly learn how to grow this plant with the background knowledge of growing tomatos, thats how my pops taught me, thats how his mentor taught him, and so on, to this day im still using many techniques that i learned from my early gardening days.
i eventually started reading some stuff like the Grow Bible(you could easily download it anywhere) and from people like Jorge Cervantes, he made many helpful videos that simplified growing for beginners, id suggest starting here, but do look for other sources for information as well, weed growers tend to make it harder than it has to be, most of the time its about leaving them alone rather than doing something, let them be independent. there so much more i could tell you, probably wouldnt fit in 1 post though. try to do some research, then send me a PM if you have any questions, many of the users on here are always glad to help.

ya thats what i figured... i went to check out the garden, were i got the soil.... and thees a whole bunch of these fuckin things... the babys look like mj... but the bigger ones look like my pic.... oh well.... learnin curve....

one of the best things ive heard a new growers say on here. i m sorry for how youre plant turned out. but all the best on youre next grow. also nirvana are cheap and there not to bad a few unstable iffy strains. i strated out with them and still use them tbh for a few things

ah yes, nirvana is a great value, wide range of possible phenotypes but youll get what you paid for, sannie offers prime genetics for a few bucks extra but its worth buying from a good breeder once you got the experience, nirvana just does knockoffs to be honest but i did use them for a good while, not disappointed either.

yeah, thats probably the last place to go for grow advice, there may be some sort of grow messiah in the plant section if your really lucky, but i guarantee just about anyone at walmart isnt gonna be dedicated enough to their job to tell you nearly enough about growin, theyll probably scratch the surface of it and tell you to buy slow release miracle gro soil for orchids or something like that, probably due to their wage, i cant blame em haha.
id check out newbie central, they got some sticky notes that are very helpful and packed full of useful knowledge. this is a great place to start. when you find people on here, its like another story to be told, and another well of knowledge to look into, if your lucky you meet people who love to help, i am one of the many people like this. glad i can improve someones life by just sharing a bit of knowledge, such a simple task but in the end, its so rewarding. people did the same for me when i started using grow forums, just gotta pass it on.

no no... i meant for gettin info about walmart shit, was makin a joke.... i would never go anywere public and ask them about this shit..lol... just meant like every where you go now a days they cant tell you shit... cuz they dont know shit... but my fellow blazzers are on top of shit on this web site... and i love it.. so thank you guys for takin the time to give me some advice....

well i got a shit load of seed stored away probably like 100 0r so....collected them over the years, never grew them.... not sure if the garbage or not....i gotta find a quite spot to get some shit like that around here... i just moved here from way up north..so i dont no anyone or trust anyone enough for that.... and i dont like havin shit sent to me in the mail... not the smartest thing to do...but i guess i dont have all that many options.

haha ah i get what you mean, completely right about that one too, the only place ive ever really gotten valuable grow info from is probably the hydro store, and those guys are usually highly opinionated since they're basically salesmen, not exactly but they'll try to get you to spend as much money as possible when you come by, you can avoid all of that really and just buy some organic plant food for like less than 20 bucks and itll supply you for a whole run, that, including seeds is basically all i spend every year, i get seeds for free usually too so all in all, takes about 20 dollars to make about 50x your original amount haha who ever said money doesnt grow on trees. if you got some buds that are growin, for sure ask for second opinions on any grow knowledge you receive, its always good to have another persons opinion when it comes to likely biased grow knowledge, theres a good set of truths here but theres many right answers to many of the questions really. feel free to ask any questions if you have any, i and many other would probably be glad to give out 2 cents.

i couldnt agree more, all of us potheads tend to look out for one another, we all have some sort of empathy for others, why i love this site, people are always glad to help just so they can improve someone else's life, it shows how mj seems to make people inherently good. people say ignorance is bliss, contrary to this, i believe a fat bowl to the face is true bliss. the short term memory loss is well worth it, in fact it may serve as a good thing, it makes us only look forward, only paying attention to the future, the only real thing that matters. ive enjoyed helping you out, your one of the most grateful people ive met on here, i hope all my advice really comes in handy, as you get deeper into this stuff, youll really start to see how often people are so willing to help, its a beautiful thing i agree. with your optimistic attitude, im sure youll make plenty of friends on here and plenty of people like me will be glad to help you with anything you need to know.
