Need to cut time off flowering 2x Chrystal Rain 1xIndica

Hey guys, I got myself in a bit of a situation here,
i'm second week into flowering (started on 3rd august) and my plants are fuckin awesome!
But my problem is that I'll have to leave the country due to an unexpected trip for at least a month. I have 3 more weeks until my departure, thats 3 more weeks that I can let them flower(no one can take care of them once i leave).
I've been reading some articles that if I cut the light period down I could induce faster budding at the expense of yield.
Can you give me any advise on what to do ?

Is it a soil grow?
If it is, you can get a larger pot, add compost to it, and transplant the weed.
Set up a timed irrigation and lighting system to supply your plants for the month.
My plants in 3 gallon pots drink about a gallon a day (3 plants).

You can also just find a guerrilla location, plant them and come take a look when your back

just harvest before you leave. it wont be as good but i bet it will still kick ass after 5 weeks of flower. i always preferred earlier harvested weed.

Thats my main idea for now! Any advise on how to 'store' it after i cut?cause i cant cure,(no one to do it), afraid they'll get mold if i put em in a air sealed jar
Is it a good idea to reduce the light period? or 12/12 is the best possible ?

im no expert but i think i heard 8 hours of light 16 dark may speed up budding but get another opinion first.
