Hello. I'm running a hydroponic BCNL Producer and I'm 24 days into the flower cycle with Northern Lights (Indica dominant). My biggest plant has about 4 inches of clearance until hitting the top glass which could burn it up. Growth has remained consistent at a rate of 0.5 to 1 inch per day for the last few days. I switched to flower when the plants were about 5.5 inches tall (from seed). I've not used any co2 up to this point because these girls were growing so rapidly. I've begun LSTing today, but I'm still concerned about the rate of growth. When all is said and done, these plants will be nearly 6 times the height they were after veg!!!

Would things slow down a bit if I turned the lights off after 8 hours instead of 12? What do you guys recommend?

Thanks.

PS... pictures can be found on my journal (link to grow #2 in my signature).

even 4 inches is way too close depending on your light (I assume you are not using flouros), you are just roasting the plants. Try to find a way to raise your light more, you can always get another inch or two

they really should have stopped stretching by the third week

LST may be your only shot, good luck

I've heard a lot about bushmaster. How does it work exactly?
i dont know the science behind it, but it just stops vertical growth. makes it bush out more. you add it to your plants right before you switch to flower. but you wanna dose low, and drop your nutes to 1/3 strength. ive used the stuff a lot in my soil grows when height was an issue. havent used it in aero yet.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Im growing in a BCNL grow box, so the lights are very fixed. However, when I said 4 inches, I meant 4 inches away from the glass. There is another 2-3 inches of clearance above the glass, under the light. That is also my tallest plant which I have begun to bend. I've noticed things beginning to slow down naturally within the last 24 hours thank god.
