My favorite weed of all time was grown outside. A TRUE red grapefruit tasting pot, grown in northern Maine. Never have been able to find the strain or anything that tasted like it. Though I have been searching. There was also a guy named Jim, had his own cross for the last 15 years. It was afgani and cali something. So many trics it looked like they were spread on with a butter knife.

Ok so I was crusing Home Depot and guess what I found? 5 inch vynl posts, and FUCKING caps! $22 and some change for a 5" x 8' post and about 2 bucks a cap. So of course I just HAD to buy it, right?:-P

I'll be back for some more after the first one was built.

So I'm already going to modify the StinkBud setup. 1st thing being the 5" posts vs the 4"

Next I'm going to use a cooler as the res instead of a RubberMade. Where it drops into the rest I will add funnels, got the idea from another RIU member, MeoMix. I'm also going to turn a rubbermade upside down and trim it to fit over the ends so no light gets to the roots hanging out. I got some 4" knock outs but I'm not sure if I'll use them. Though they do look cool on the aeroflow.

My veg unit will be made from the same type of cooler as my cloner, ISLAND BREEZE, just a bit bigger. The veg unit will consist of 2 60 qrt coolers. The top unit will drain via the drain already there, I have black polly to connect it to the res. Even comes with wheels and a hanlde:-P They stack perfectly.

On a side note I was stoned out of my mind at Wal-Mart and the guy in the sport section must have asked if I needed help like 3 or 4 times. Granted I starred at the coolers for a solid 20 minutes, lol:eyesmoke:

everyone claims they think soil is the best but nothing compares to indoor aeroponics... MY budds keep me higher, longer than the best choices I have from any dispensory. Aero is so touchy its very hard, but done right is incredible, I have a problem keeping th PH level constant, it would be nice if the PH perfect system from advanced nutrients wasnt such a myth to their own reps I might have an easier job....
ps... you gotta mix 60 qts. of nutes every week???? that seem expensive, I use a black 5 gallon bucket for every tray(2'X3', or 10 plants) they need to be easy to change out as in aeroponics I need to flush straight RO 1 days for every two weeks of nutes. That way the roots have been flushed and not locked out by over excessive nutrient build up

i bet you can drill small holes in the pvc to act as laser lines NeL. that would get you the best of both designs i think. i like stinks cause they shoot from the bottom. if it spashed off the top it would be like rainfall in there. 5 inch posts at depot huh. thats where its at buddy

I never said I would use 60 qrts every week. It holds 60.

Great idea.
I'll drill a variety of small holes to get the size right and do a few expierements before finalizing the final plans.

After further thinking I will have the top unit on a shelf so I can access the res easily. Worked to late today so I missed the hydro shop. I'll hit it up tommorow and get the veg unit complete, hopefully. I'm still throwing around a couple ideas on the flowering unit...

you've seen the laser lines right? pretty small holes
No, I'll have to look at them tommorow when I go to the grow shop. The guy there told me they are only 10 cucks a piece. I might just use them, I don't know. I'm so torn between the sprayers and the LL.

Oh I know what I wanted to ask you, how often do you change out the solution. I was going to see about every 2 weeks, depending on how much I had to fuck with it.

Ok so I finally decided I'm going to be completley copy the aeroflo design with the laser lines and all. I just feel the stinkbud system has to many flaws. Don't get me wrong I do love it but all the sealed joints with gromets. Also if any problems do arrise I would not be able to slide the manifold out of the posts. All in all and dollar for dollar I think building it after the aeroflo model will be a better choice for me. Money isn't the issue but I'm certainlty not spending 700+ on one. I can make for a few hundred.

Nel first off great growing your doing and + rep for the idea of putting the top veg on a shelf. So

simple yet such a time saver! Since you decided on copying the aeroflo completly are you still going to even build the veg. Unit?

Donkey.420- I laughed so hard when I saw you in that mask abosultely priceless. I know why you wore it obviously but don't know

if you meant it to be funny anyway it was to me, loved it!

Peace and Good Vibes

Hey guys,
Quick question... Are any of you guys in Maine? I am looking to make a move and want to grow three..... Whats it like now that these new laws are taking effect????? How easy is it to get a MM Card? Is it possible to supply the distribution centers???
thx

Been so busy latley, I'm almost done my veg unit. I have the cooler cloner full of the Mendocino Madness. About 6 days in and they all have roots started. This is the 3rd run of clones in it so I cleaned it.

This round is going to be the first full term aero grow. Going to leave them in the cloner for 12-14 days then put them in the veg unit for say 1-2 ish weeks and by then my soiless grow should be done and the new room will go up.

So here is the res for the veg unit. The pump exits via 1/5" line. I epoxied 1/2" barbs in to the side too. One is the feed line and the other is the return line. Now to drain the res all I do is pop the hose of the upper unit, point and plug in.
