So, because she didn't want to be a "sex offender"... she chose life in prison.

Taylor, who lived in Jackpot at the time of the crime, kissed a friend's child, forced him to touch her breast and asked him to have sex with her in February 2008.

There's a big difference between "forcing" a minor to touch your breast and "letting" a minor touch your breast. If she also "forced" kisses on him and asked him to have sex with her, then she's a perpetrator of sexual assault and should go to jail. Maybe not for life, but I doubt that she'll serve the whole sentence anyway. Just because no adult in their right mind will have sex with you that doesn't make it right to force yourself on a child. Children have to be protected from losers like this.

This woman is a victim of madatory sentencing. Due to the charge she was charged with and because she was convicted of the crime, the judges hands are basically tied. It's bullshit and we need to get rid of madatory sentencing for this very reason. She may deserve a year or 2 in prison but life or even 10 years, which is the minimum she has to serve, is a load of shit!

I agree with you, doc111, about the absurdity of minimum sentencing. People should be held accountable for their actions, but to apply a sentence that is more appropriate for someone who kept children locked in their basement for torture to a person who did what this woman did is a miscarriage of justice in the highest degree. It doesn't make what she did right, but you see what I'm saying, hopefully.

The sentence is absurd. The punishment should fit the crime. There are murderers who don't get as much time as this woman! She deserves some time but not 10 years!

I think the term "forced" is probably a little harsh, im sure she probably kissed the kid and grabbed his hand and put it on her boobs he probably squeezed of his own accord. the kid thought it was cool and told his friends, they gave him shit cause she definitely isnt milf status, boy felt ashamed and told parents..

Fact is, if this lady would have actually been in good shape and attractive shed probably be laying in the kids bed as opposed to sitting all shackled up in the court room..

Truth be told I think a year is harsh for letting a kid cop a feel. She may be butt ugly but boobies are boobies when you're that age.

mandatory sentencing is bullshit, i know a guy who has serious autism and keeps gettin caught with weed, hes 1a them guys who is just so caring and loving but cant help the problems hes got, hes now doin a year in prison cause he was caught with a gram for like the 6th time, even the judge said he didnt deserve it and im hoping i can pay for a decent solicitor so he can make a good appeal. on the other hand i know a guy who stabbed a guy 6 times and looked in his eyes whilst doin it, in complete cold blood and enjoyin every second of it, hes doin 4 years, the justice systems of the world have really fallen to shit.
