Not sure who you'r arguing with. Fem seeds work just fine for (everyone here apparently) including myself.

That however won't keep me from factual talk. The point is to educate the OP on the science behind it possible relieving any "illusions of grander" they may have had without prior factual information.

I don't know about him but for me answers without bearing are useless.

Well, I think he may be referring to the idea that feminized seeds are some sort of "gimmick", which they are not. They can be counted on to be female a great majority of the time, which doesn't exactly constitute a gimmick per say.
This is not to speak to their viability throughout the run ( hermies and such) which is a different discussion.

That's strange I've been cloning a clone of a clone of Greenhouse SLH for over 5 years now. If anything my yields have increased cause I've learned what the plant likes.

I have been cloning off clones for over five years as well. My strains only get better and better after each generation because I know the strain more. This has been the case with at lease four or five different strains that I have had for years.

I dont like fems for other reasons. dust em for some diversity!

I never said I was a master grower!! I do know basic botany and I know that GHS sell some watered down genetics from experience. I dont like feminized because it is a mutation and you can see it in the way the bud grows! I'm in day 84 of flowering and the trichomes are still clear! And this is on a completely different feminized strain! Its G13 White lavender. It is still growing new white pistils even though it will be harvested in a few days, guess that's my fault too. I take pride in my skill, knowledge, and grow. I know un natural when I see it, I admit I have had some successfully ran feminized strains like HSO OG Kush, but I refuse to use fems in a hydro setup anymore! Stinkbuddy for life

should prob start off with learning how fem seeds are made first of all. i wont rag on you like everybody else is. every one of us was misinformed in one way or another in this hobby, kinda goes with the territory at times. mutants could just be plain ole bad luck too ya know not always a prob with how it was bred, just like a healthy normal couple having an autistic or down syndrome child.
P.S. u did say that you were a skilled botanist, be careful throwing words like that around, its just asking for people to put u in your place around here. theres many many many years of experience in these forums and everyone has heard it all already

In my opinion I dont think its good for the small guy that doesn't have money to buy new beans every year. These things actually boil down to factors and opportunity, maybe I'm not in the same hood that you stay in. I just could only afford 5 Big Bang 3 died, 2 lived and the smoke was a mid at best, HSO OG Kush had people telling me that hadn't been that stoned in years, I couldn't have gave that GreenHouse shit away. I'm just saying when Jorge Cervantes discussed feminized seeds he talked about mutation and Danny danko just said in the 14 HT Master grow guide, to nor use fems as mother plants. I'm not saying I haven't done it and been successful, I just don't think its a healthy practice. Leave it up to me there would be no feminized because it tells phenotypes and genotypes to repeat, and its almost taboo, I would only breed with an elite fem strain

so if fem seeds are so inferior then why does every breeder pretty much make fems?for a small grower fems are gold!period!saves so much work,time and space

I had some issues with self pollination due to environment / heat and light problems with some S1 plants. At first I believed it to be due to fem seeds but it didn't take long to look at my own short comings. Fixed the "problems" and never looked back. I think fem seeds will hermie / self pollinate easier but that's just an opinion. Never had a cloning issue though, I kill many clones, fem or not. lol
