Never let your plants get bone dry?

I've been told this from day one. Let them dry out before you water them but never let them get bone dry.
Just for shits I let my plants get bone dry, I mean they're so dry that I can literally take them by the stem and pluck the entire plant right out of the pot. The point is that they've turned the most beautiful dark green since I've let them go bone dry. I'm going to water them tonight because the leaf stems are drooping and obviously they want some water but the colour difference since letting them go bone dry is amazing.

Your ph is fluctuating ..that's why you are experiencing these type of problems.

Again, what the fuck does that have yo do with your plants? U will fail miserably if you keep judging your grow by looking at someone else's... How does looking at someone else's grow tell you what's happening with yours ,I don't get it...

It's not rocket science man. He uses the same water that I use. The PH of his tap water is going the be the same as the PH of my tap water.

I keep mine moist/well-watered during veg. and all the way through week three of flower, then I like to let it go to near wilt all the way to finish before I water........I've noticed they get quite a bit smellier this way -- not sure why but they do. It's almost as if the less water they sit in, the more their terpene profile is illuminated. Just like how soil grown herb always seems to be more rank than hydro.

Your right the water going in is the same.. But What your plant /soil is doing with it is not....try to wrap your head around this your going to need to if you want to make it to harvest ..

Does he use the same soil?nutrients?are his plants bigger ?are they different strains?does his soil have lime or oyster shells...are his temps more stable then yours.. How's the humidity? It's not the same don't be a dumbass..
Well if the strain affected what PH is needed for the plant then ya wouldn't have everyone saying that "PH should be 6.0-7.0". They'd be saying that you have to figure out PH for yourself if that was the case. As for the size of his plants, one of his plants is bigger but obviously it started out smaller, I mean it grew up and went through the cycles same as mine and he still never ph checked the water at any point so size of the plant should make no difference. His plants are growing more natural I guess, he mostly grows his in the window and so obviously the humidity will be different. nutes are different but on every second watering we're still just using straight water. As for the soil he uses some miracle grow enriched potting soil, I use promix hp with earthworm castings mixed in.

Long story short, it's likely that ph could be an issue but from the results after letting them dry out I'm thinking that slight overwatering may be just as much of an issue if not more.

He uses soil you use a soilless medium the compost and gypsum that's in his soil balances his ph....but also take into consideration that his soil has additives and your soil has none...he has extra calcium magnesium nitrogen boron...many things. your soil has zero.. Do you get what I'm saying? You're using the same water but putting it in different soils... The two situations are way different... When the soil drys ph can fluctuate that's why I asked the question about size and temp..different strains require more or less attention some are calcium whores some are not....I remember you having calcium looking issues.

Ok this is definitely a PH issue, more than likely PH too high. I actually caused this on purpose though to test my limits with PH. The water was about 6.8 on strips and 8.5 on drops but 8.5 is as high as drops go so it mighta been a bit higher. This plant got the worst of it. Btw the burn on the edges of the fan leaf has been there for weeks so it's not really an issue, it only happened on the one plant and only to the 2 leafs. The next time that I water I'm going to make sure it's about 8.0 on drops and around 6.0 on strips and see what the results are after. Eventually I will get the perfect PH; probably kill a few leafs in the process but small price to pay in order to not do any further damage afterwards. Also I'm now keeping a log for when I water my plants, with nutes or without, what the ph is, exact time and date of watering .etc. I know I shoulda done that off the bat but I was being lazy.

I told you I've beeN telling you for a while now ...u should listen! You're fucked, balancing an unbalanced soil is hard for someone that doesn't know what they are doing.
