I switched the Dehu to 60% and things are still drying. The room stays in the mid 60*.
I might have some THC tests done today from HPS vs COB. Even the trimmers noticed the LED side had more crystals.
Another area he couldn't believe was the vegging. The first room is the same clones vegged under LED's and the second pic is the T5 to MH for veg with same veg time. The second is also 3 weeks a head and has more plants per tray.

If the trimmers don't notice, no one else will.

I'm replacing every light bulb in my op with LED of one type or another.

I agree, so much more frost n terp profile. Started replacing all vegetive floresents myself. I'll never use a T-5 again. Twice the light output of a much better spectrum using 1/4 the watts. I'm totally sold on LEDs now.
What to do w/ 8k watts of hps in storage is the question.
Just replaced the T-5 over the clones a few minutes ago. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgThis HH is my $800 veg light. Haha! Lesson learned. I think all of us learned this lesson that contributes to being official led growers. lol!

Sell it before the value drops lol thats what I did

I have Tangie in flower
Been thinking about it but street cost is like 1/4 value. Maybe I could hold out to get 1/2 w/ an add on Craiglist or something. All great equipment & mostly new as I kept upgrading all the till the month I was taking it down. What a well oiled machine that was. Comparing what it takes for me to grow led vs hps, it's a huge difference. Once the hps was all built n dialed in, it was so perfect. Straight ceiling of 9 HPS hoods, close together. 11'x10' solid doubled trellised monster-Scrog. But to not have to do this anymore made it so I can now flower in a room I wouldn't really have been able to going hps do to logistics. Led room is way easier, cheaper (aside from lights) to build & run.
Can't help but think I'll find a place soon to set the hps back up. Probably should sell it before value drops from led light awareness. Lol! Slow but surely the word will get out beyond these forums to growers that don't use Google, don't use the computer.
But no matter what, HPS kills it for real.
No doubting that. Not to bad properly vented. My buddy put shiny insulated hood covers on each one w/ the insulated exhaust, all 8" duct, very lil heat. 9 lights / 7200w Single window 1200BTU handled it fine for the most part.
Committed to LEDs now & the room is full of em. Not even any room for my one DIY I was determined to build. Don't mean to sound Pompus, but I'd build a bad -ass light. Ideas been floating since I came to RIU & saw peeps DIY, happy as a get out & proud of their builds. Must be a good feeling.
Wow! Just realized I'm rambling in lala land after Smoking that Sensi-Star (one of my favorites) my bad.
Oh yeah, I ran Tangie for about a year. Took me & least 3 runs to get her right n yield my quota. Asnwer to that was, topping, pinching, tying opening up you want to but shouldn't have to much cuz she grows multi-outward branch. Great scrigger. If you leave some thicker mane branches going up, it will Cola up but spreading it to much w/ no real lateral branches will prevent colas & get you many a good smaller bud. Adds up to decent yield. Best one I got last run of Tangi was 14 oz., 7 gall pott, Used about 800w, 400 above & 400 on the side. Great smoke & looks bomb. Mad orange hairs & citrus tangerine smell. Frosty ficker too!
Just got 2 back of my old strain. Got a guy who's a keeper for retired strains. Thank god. Got my Original Blueberry back too. One of my favorites by far. She'll flower next run.
Oops stoned rambling.
I should sell the hps stuff. But it would be easy to set-up quick upon getting another opp. Which I'm 50/50 on. Done it before. Not freaking easy to say the least. I do miss it though. What a room. Wish I could show youz a picture but I erased them all.
There's a few shots of that room full-o-bud on my other threads. Posted elsewhere before but soon after erased them being paranoid that they were a lil to heavy for the guys that were hating on me & general public. Seen legalities briught up here a few times by hsters, on me at that.
Well, I'm all led now & proud of it. Can't say I don't know the difference from hps to led, that's for sure.
Peace, be stoned sometimes. bongsmilie It helps!

Oops, just realized I wasn't ranking on my own thread. Sorry NeverGoodEnough. Lmk, if you want me to erase it?
Buds look mega frosty. How the density & terps. Nice! Happy w/ your yield?

Between all the trimming and my jobs, I haven't had much time for anything in my room. @ttystikk I couldn't see anything right away and I only had it there for a little more than a week. I am trimming each plant separately, so if I do any THC testing I will know which plant is which.
As for the testing up North, we are going to try it again, but I will stop in weekly to make sure I am happy with my side. This is a test in his 2 tray (4'x8') room. Right now the room runs 4 DE 1000 and consistently pulls 4 pounds per tray. I think I would like to do about 1500w to just under 2000w. 12 CLU058 3618's @ 125w each on 6 Starlite special 600HS. Or I might use 6 HLG320's.

Sorry @ttystikk the pure vertical section wasn't the winner on the gram per watts. The 4 that were partially supported by the fence was the winning area. It was also the all Citizen section. The one with the tomato cage and the other free standing one were on the lower end of this section. I think the 5'x6' area averaged between 750w to 800w and produced 854 grams, all soil and organic. I couldn't tell any difference where I used the 5000k for finishing, but might try it again next time.
Now for the wall. I guess they didn't like be pulled around. 2 of them did very well and 2 that were in smaller pots were 2 ounces less per plant than the average. The wall was also running more wattage, but only hit 730 grams. Not to impressive. And since all these plants started out about the same, I will be doing a less trained wall next time.

I never said they'd be the best at grams per watt. They sure kicked ass at grams per square foot of floor space utilized though, huh?

All the new girls are vegging now. As I was looking for some more cloth pots, I realized that I had only been using 3 gallon pots. I thought they were all 5g or bigger. So, not to bad for 3g pot, 5' plants and 20 watts per square foot, averaging about 5 to 6 ounces each.
Out of the 16 Cherry Pies, 9 will be in a 3'x3' tray netted out to 4'x5'. These are going into flower as soon as they are happily rooted into the Coco 2g pots and will be only 12" to 16" at flip. The rest will likely get an extra week or so vegging. I would like to get them closer to 16" to 24" before I flip.
If anyone in the Bay Area is interested in some HLG's (48vB), I have a few CC/CV (240's, 320's, 600's) I might be willing to sell. I also have a few Luna 300s that I'm not going to use. PM my if your interested.

Yeah, pictures are back. This is what I have thrown together for my 1650w COB VS. 2 DE 1000w fixtures over 2 4'x8' trays. I plan on having the 2 end fixtures at 640w each and the center on 500w, but that depends on having 2 more HLG320s. Otherwise, It will be 2 at 500w and the center at 640w. All 3 fixtures have different Kelvins, 4000k 70cri, 3500k 80cri, and 3000k 90cri. I haven't gotten in my gen 6's yet, so this is all gen 5. My Tc should never be over 60*c with these 15 pound, 600w capable HS.

IMG_20170228_164519055.jpg
The Citizen side
Center fixture is 4 CLU058 3500k 80cri @ 160w each
One end fixture is 2 CLU058 4000k 70cri and 2 CLU058 3500k 80cri @ 125w each
Other end fixture is 4 CLU058 3000k 90cri @ 125w each.
For a total of 1640w against 2400+w of DE HPS.

Almost everything is even, but I do have the slightly smaller plants from the start. I might put this test in another thread but for now I will keep it here. I will only be updating this test once a week or less. To far to drive every week.
