New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

Hey MA folks! I'm building some lights from scratch. I'm going with CXB's because they are tried and true, and honestly I just want to get these up and growing.

I'll be ordering soon from Alibaba and building multiple light fixtures, running 6 COBs on a HLG240-1050 for 3x3 areas. If you want to buy our stuff together to save on shipping and maybe a lower bulk price, let me know. We could talk about me building it for you if you wanted as well. I like the community building and would do it for free with a future promise of some cuts or flower.

For shopping at hydro stores, the one in Medford has pretty good prices. Ocean Forest (38.6 dry qts) for $20, Grow Big 1qt for $20 as price checkers.
Wish u would joined the thread sooner... lol I have a Cree rig with 12 engines and 3x 320h 2100b... but now I wanna build a quantum board rig for my tent... lol.. if I can just get this bud to dry... lol

First piece of advice; there's isn't a damn thing at the hydro store that you can't get cheaper somewhere else, usually by half or better. ESPECIALLY nutes!

It's pot. Treat it like tomatoes and you'll succeed. Do your wallet a favor and stay away from hydro stores.
I usually source most of my stuff online got that amazon prime lol comes in handy but I'm no fool I do compare prices for example that trim bin was on amazon for 53.. hydro store 60 and he includes trimmers.. those gotta be at least 7 bucks the guano is same price like the rest of the stuff and best part no tax.. amazon charges tax in mass if anybody was wondering.. lol.. been on the go all day time to hit chilax button...✌

Made my move last night- plants were maxed out on height- So had to cut scrog screen, drop frame, remove lights, pump, heater;just to get girls out without damage-then drain res(13 gal.) and move to big tent(4' by 8') Like going from studio apt. to McMansion setup under 2 600wt. HPS and checked with light meter to get best coverage. Haul 15 gal.water from upstairs, mix nutes, and refill.Ran light off schedule(4:30 am.) and off to bed.Checked temps this morning and avg. 79 deg. so no issue overheating( have exhaust running full time) checked PPM (thought my meter had crapped out) only to realize that it only reads 3 digits max- it was saying 104(WTF?) Tested plain water-120ppm?. Then saw tiny figure on readout flashing saying x10 so I was at 1040 LOL, so minus water ppm, I was golden(Senior moment LOL). Figure at least 30-40 more days. I'm at 45 now.Hopefully done with stretch, and start to fatten up.
@callmemom- here's a link to NETA dispensary not too far from you(Northhampton) if you pursue medical card for your daughter. Takes you thru
entire process.

Nothing testing pH, started with organic Mechanix seed starter, not a huge fan of it. The bottom leaves are yellow, but the new growth is all healthy green once I started feeding Biothrive Grow.
Im glad...like I said I am new and dont know shit from shinola....LOL....but saw the yellow.

Girls are liking new house- buds rocking just overnight-everything dialed in- drank 1 gal. since yesterday evening- gonna start some Pineapple Kush soon in little tent.
Yikes, I dream mine will get like that :-)

I decided to throw the ladies into 12/12 now. I just want to experience flower sooner and mess around. Timer set for 5am on...(of course so I can peek at them all day!) and 5pm off. Lets see
how this goes. Anyone else doing 12/12 "from seed"? Sybil my easykush has 2 weeks veg under her belt, but Hazel my white widow will break the soil under 12/12.

I've seen schedules where people grow sog's that just wait a week into veg to flip. Of course, it's confusing since a lot of growers don't consider the first two weeks as true veg, so it's hard to know how many days out of seed they are talking. I'd give it a couple of weeks at least. It can take that long just to establish their sea legs.

Just a thought, but after time and investment, I would let them get at least 4-6 nodes or get to 1 ft.before flipping or you probably will get very little final results. They will probably stretch to double their veg. ht. after flip.Just hate to see you waste time and effort for a few popcorn buds.

Day 3 ... Even with the paper towel "humidifier", the soil is drying out too fast. Moistened it again with the RO water/seaweed extract mixture and cut a 3 layer paper towel "template" (holes in the middle of each pot) to help keep the soil moist.

That's the top of the cloning tray. The starter pots do air pruning so I have them in a rack, not in a tray.
That only shows 1/2 of the nursery area ... it's 2w x 4l x2h
The relative humidity in the basement is only about 20% and the veg area isn't air tight so it's a challenge keeping things from drying out. I've got it about 38% for the seedlings

That seems low for a basement haha. I have to run a dehumidifier in the room I use in my basement. But I haven't used it this winter so I wonder if it'll be as low as yours. I'll have to check it when I get home out of curiosity.
