week 2 since clone transplant, photos taken this morning which makes it 15 days.
she has hit the screen!
still gunna veg for a few more weeks or so to fill some of the screen before flippin to 12/12 and swapping the cfl hood for the 150w hps.
roots have really taken off, some of the roots are like a foot long or more! veg growth is taking off now, can notice new growth from day to day now. :-P
currently feeding around 700ppm of nutes at 5.8 - 6 ph, had slight nute burn on tips last week do have dropped ppm a little.

heres this mornings pics at 15 days since transplant.

Cheers dude!
yeh my airstone kept floating too. I ended up attaching a super strong magnet to the bottom of the airstone and also another taped to the bottom
of the bucket and that holds it place perfectly. I busted open a few old computer hard drives for the magnets but ya can get them at radioshack or somewhere like that, just look for the neodymium magnets, they strong as fuck for their size :)

Day 23 since transplant.
A little late with the update, but here it is!
Growth has quite literally exploded since last update, ive started trimming some of the lower branches that will serve no purpose ( not wasted tho, they have gone in me new bubble cloner and if they root, will go week of veg then 12/12 in the pc case)
Starting to train the branches under the screen, looks messy but should sort itself out :)
So at this point being its only been 3 weeks and with its current rate of growth, i estimate another 2-3 weeks til i can flip to 12/12 :D

Thanks lady j. :)
I'm going to swap over the light tonight to the 150w hps. The hps will penetrate the foliage better and should boost growth a little too.
the cfl hood is currently putting out around 10000 lumens whereas the hps puts out around 14500 lumens and they both consume near on the same power.
I'm seeing new growth every day so I think she'll fill the screen within the next week :D

Another little update.

The 150w HPS has gone in. But in doing so i realised i only have 12" max between the screen and light, didnt sound like enough to me.
So while i had the bucket out for a top up i removed the screen and dropped it down another coupla inches (as much as i could physically move it)
So now i should have around 15" of space between the screen and light.
The hps is in my custom cool hood which should allow me to get the plant tops pretty close without burning, i can hold my hand almost directly against it without getting too hot.
Time will tell i guess.

heres some pics of the rearrangement, once again it looks a bit messy but it will sort itself out :)

awesome setup and stressing techniques man :) does the mesh ScroG method produce higher yield than bending LST'in em ?

Cheers click!
This is my first scrog grow so I'm not sure what to expect yeild wise. Also I haven't grown this strain before. But I'm expecting a decent amount, I've counted at least 30 bud sites so far.
my last plant in this cupboard yeilded 3oz dry and that was thru a lot of lst. Unfortunately it was middle of summer and I was unable to control how fast it dried and it dried to a crisp in 2 days so it tasted pretty shit but still got ya high.

I'm going scrog this time for 2 reasons. 1 is I just wanna give scrog a go and 2nd, the lst on the last plant got pretty hectic with trying to find tie points and so on, became a real pain in the ass. scrog so far is much easier. I just let it grow thru the screen a few inches then pull it back under and redirect the branch to where I want it :) I've only had to tie one branch in place and that's it.

Just done res change and will be updating photos soon :D

Pics after res change, trimming and more training. :joint:
Nutes this change consist of 14ml of grow and 7ml of bloom totalling 1050ppm (minus water ppm) At this stage i look to be flipping to 12/12 next week if not earlier (hence the mix of bloom nutes this change) the screen is filling quite fast and i bet it will fill right out if not over after the flip.
Being my first scrog attempt and first time with this bubblegum strain, timing is crucial, if it overflows out the sides of the screen some lst will be applied ;-)
As you can see i've put my 2 bonsai mothers to be in the cab as well, i just wanted to give them some time under the hps to try boost growth. I need the indica dominant plant on the right to stretch some more so i can take a clone and chuck it under 12/12 to determine sex cos its an unknown bagseed. fingers crossed its a girl!

Why did you only run one plant, besides the mothers?I see you have some more room in there..just wondering

Only the one for now cos its my first go at a scrog setup, also I'm not into bulk production, this one plant will keep me well stocked for months. Hell I still have 10grams left from my last PC case harvest! :P next grow tho I plan on doing a mini sea.of green with maybe 6 -9 clones in soil. :)

okey dokey, bit late with update, been out of town for few days.
came back to a pleasant surprise tho, opened up the cab and it had grown like 3" in 3 days :D
starting to think now i should have switched to 12/12 a week earlier, i knew there would be stretch but yeah, getting a bit more than i expected!
guess thats what happens when ya havent grown a particular strain before :P
Some tops looking a little down as i just did a bit more training :)

meanwhile, in the clone box, wonderful things have been happening. all 6 clones in the bubble cloner have rooted well (thats 2x bubblegum clones, 2x tomato clones and 2x cameron apple aka: pepino melon clones)
so i wanted to transplant them into soil and searched around for the best method and have just put a few ideas together and will see how they go.
What im doing is purely experimental and if it works well then i will use it in the future.
I started with 6 10cm pots (cos i had them on hand, next time will probably go with bigger pots) and half filled with potting mix (just some regular potting mix with no nutes added)
then made a bit of a well in each of them and put half handful of perlite in the wells.
next i carefully removed the clones from the bubble cloner and unwrapped the foam plugs. Here was my first problem, both the pepino and tomato had shot roots straight thru the foam, so instead of breaking them off, i just left most of the foam on em.
the bubblegum clones were fine tho.
Then i gently wiggled them into the perlite (still dry at this point, easier to move around) then added more perlite around the roots to cover them.
Finally i topped up with potting mix and watered in very well (like watered it till it was pouring out the bottom then let it drain off) with a a plant starter mix.
I didnt squash down the potting mix at all so as not to damage any of the roots, just watering it well levelled out the soil.
And back in the clone box they went :)
Now to wait patiently and hope they take the transplant well! bongsmilie

heres pics of the process, feel free to ask any questions, comment or advise :)

and just added a coupla pics of tha girl

Thanks lady j! :)
Checked in on the clones this morning, still nice n perky, no droop from transplant :)
Got another clone I did in rockwool that's ready for transplant too! Popped a few roots out of the rw this morning :P
These clones I think I might go 12/12 straight up cos I'm starting to run out of room lol. Don't want to put them outdoors cos its just too cold at night.
Waiting eagerly for the bagseed bonsai mum clone to root, won't be long then I can 12/12 it and determine sex.

Hey peeps! I've been lazy lately with updates, but things are still charging along. :)
I have upgraded the 150w hps to a 250 watter, I felt the 150 was struggling to penetrate the foliage deep enough.
I already had a 250w ballast just to buy the bulb, a mere $35 later.
Quick changeover and off we go :D

I now have 3 more clones which went straight into 12/12 after transplant into soil/perlite mix and the 1 unknown clone which I've named "Unk " still no preflowers on it yet so still no idea if its male or female.

The dwc scrog is coming along very well, smells soo good and quite sticky. Photos to come in the next day or so.
