I had a buddy of mine come run a vent in the ceiling tapping into the a/c duct and installing a runner and put ac vent in my closet ceiling l. ran my exhaust vent with filter to attic as well. Only cost $150. Will up load pic of exhaust when I get home but it’s just a hole cut in top sheet rock with tube running outView attachment 4944204
So your closet grow exhaust is connected to your ac exhaust vent?

no air he ran a tee connector off the main ac just like bathrooms are done to the closet and the cut a hole out the Ceiling on the other side for the exhaust fan tube to exhaust in the attic. Also have intake on the bottom of the door as well. A/c to help keep room cool with the heat here

It's not good to just exhaust into the attic. You can get mold that way. You want to exhaust it outside. I ran mine to a gable vent in my attic.

It's because of condensation in case you were curious. Think of a can of soda. You know how it sweats and condensation collects on the outside of the can. Well it's backwards in this situation and the condensation collects on the inside of the ducting.

If you do it I hope it's your own place, and you're not gonna start a mold factory in someone else's attic that you're renting from.
Nah I keep my grow completely out of my house for that reason. But I am pretty sure attics are vented to atmosphere. You are right though safer to go's straight outside.

I know. It's something a lot of people wouldn't think of. I never would have thought about the insulated ducting.
I had a bunch of old space blankets, you know the myler stuff that crinkles a lot, so I duct tape them around the various tubing that I wanted to insulate.

They cost a buck for 6 ft of tubes worth of insulation.

i have a dumb question, that closet is going to leak light haard if you dont want to modify anything so im going to make a leap here and say your not sleeping in this room? i'd say just buy a small tent like a 4x4 or something and set it up in the corner by the bedroom window.
Nah I probably am gonna sleep in here lol but I was gonnna get some of that shit to cover the cracks I forget what it’s called …
