Shooting Star will absolutely do the trick if selected towards the "ambien" mom! I've gotten to sample some, it will put you to sleep first thing in the morning...no joke! I believe we're in the process of selecting Shooting Star males for a backcross to the "ambien" mom too...exciting stuff.
Hi BP. I was wondering if you could give me some info about this "ambien" strain. Actual name, genetics, is it available to patients. I did a couple of searches and found lotsa stuff on the pills even something about hidden old testament biblical references to hashish use but only 1 mention of something "nicknamed" purple ambien. It happened to be in CO. Can you offer me any insight on this strain? It would be appreciated. Also anything further about what 303 is doing with it? Thanx for any help you can give.

It is the Shooting Star he's looking for. BP recommended it to me when I said I was looking for a good night time strain to help with insomnia. If you follow along my grow thread in this section (and in my signature) you can watch the Shooting Star in action. I managed to stress all but one of my plants into turning male but I've got a backup Shooting Star in the works so (hopefully) it will join the Kali Mist in flower within the next few weeks.

Burrr and Medshed...you guys ROCK. Thanks!

The Sensi Star "ambien" cutting is held very closely here by only a few people. It hasn't been distributed to the medical centers and is an excellent indica breeding tool. This pheno induces deep relaxation and was a substitute for a prescribed sleep aid by the grower/patient that selected her.

I highly recommend growing Sensi Star, it has never failed to amaze me. The Shooting Star cross was done to speed up the veg time on the Sensi Star while allowing the deep narcotic traits to come through.

Gawd!! How awesome it would be to have an *herb* to be counted on to reliably bring sleep. I currently live in a non MMJ state but am planning a move to CO in very hopefully near future. I found RIU and have been trying to educate myself about growing indoors to hit the ground running (pertaining to providing meds for my wife and myself) when we get there. I truly consider it a blessing to have found so many who are so willing to spend the time to share their knowledge. People who havent experienced insomnia oftentimes just dont get how dramatically it effects a persons life. The Falling Star is eagerly awaited and from what all of you are saying it will surely be a swiftly, rising star for insomnia treatment in the MMJ communities worldwide. Sincere thanx and breed on.

More seedling shots. Working on some indica heavy genetics here...thinking about a nice, fat, resin dripping 8 week max indica powerhouse for release sometime late this year or early next. We're taking suggestions now on what patients would like to see in a 303 Seeds indica dominant cross, so feel free to chime in. High CBD (above 4% avg.) is going to be a must for this cross.... :bigjoint:

I shared a few of the RTD with a friend of mine, He has been really interested in growing some of your stuff so I gave him a few beans.

He told me the 2 that he went to germ last night both popped within 8 hours!

hehe ... yeah, i did the same. BP gifted me a few packs to test when I was running the warehouse and i only got the chance to pop one (100% germ rate. but i left the job when they were only a few weeks old). so i gifted a few of each to a couple other board members here to try out. i can't do as much as i could before, so might as well give someone else the opportunity to play and show results faster then i might be able :)

a seed collection can be a dangerous thing, at one point it was just obscene how many seeds i had that i would never grow.
I'd rather see them being grown and get the primo cuts back anyway. :bigjoint:

its odd too a lot of people in Medi-states have never grown from seed either so I make sure they do.

I love to see everyone spreading the gear around to those that need it! That is what builds a strong community and helps us break through stereotype barriers, keep it up.

Here is a preview of sales material you'll see alongside our seeds in stores soon...couple adjustments and typo's to fix, but otherwise I like it! Props to the design team!

Remember...you saw it here on RIU first! I'll try to always keep you posted on the latest from the 303!

Looks good BP! I finally got around to sampling the Aspen OG and I've got to say it kicked me in the head. I shared a bowl with the EC family and later we were talking and I got cotton mouth so bad I could barely speak. No joke. The taste and smell were both very nice too. Sort of a cherry cheese that reminded me of the Dairy Queen I grew outdoors last summer. Very nice!

That's funny. I meant to actually give Mrs.Meshed's feedback. She gives two thumbs up. :-)

We're puffing on a JTR/Querkle/Ketama joint now...

Glad you enjoyed...should have a cannabinoid test on that batch here in the next week or so.

Its really interesting how each individual interprets the terpene combo on the Aspen, almost everyone smells something different. You're the first cherry cheese though...I like that one.

The Pandora's Box from the Shed is AMAZING! Rarely do you see a sample with that level of cure, very well done! I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm hanging on to the last bit like the squirrel does that nut in Ice Age...thank you.

It was actually Mrs. EC who first mentioned the cherry cheese smell of the Aspen OG and I agree with her. It is interesting because I totally got the toe jam smell you mentioned when I smelled the bud in the jar. I ground everything up before taking to EC's house and it seems like the smell changed. That must be some chameleon weed...

Thanks for the kind words on the Pandy. We've been enjoying it. I actually keep most of it in a jar that is vacuum sealed with a Food Saver jar sealer. It keeps the bud in great condition for long term storage. We're running pretty low ourselves now so I know what you're saying about the Ice Age squirrel. Mrs. Medshed is threatening to cut me off so she can hoard the rest herself... :-)
