New Grow - 6 plants in a 5x8. Led recommendations?

Hey guys,

I’m currently running one plant in dwc as a test. She’s looking beautiful and now I plan on scaling up to 6 plants in a new grow. I’m thinking a 5x8 space or something close to that.
Given all the light options, I’m looking for some recommendations on a full spectrum led or set of led’s to adequately cover the grow.

Thanks!

I’d like to be cost friendly. Not looking for absolute best products but I’m not looking to cheap out. From my understanding quality of light has a great impact on product. With that being said I’d like to be in the middle of road on price leaning toward the higher end vs lower end of the spectrum.

I don’t have a hard budget in mind, totally flexible. Initial thought was around $300-$500 a light but given space might need two lights which is ok. I would ideally like to do it with one light, but haven’t found anything that would cover that space alone (I also didn’t look at $1k priced lights).

You’ve got 45sqft you wan 50 actual watts per square foot. So 2200 watts of full on led power would be optimal.

looking at 700 to 800 a light approx, for something decent. Check out Meiju, bk grows with those and does a fine job, expensive lights are2 to5k 1500 average for 4x4 or 2000 for 5x5 coverage, prices may of went down, boards are cheaper and better pricing. Check out HLG they have some good lights from reviews

If you have high ceilings and want Murican made I'd go for the hlg qb96 and diy some lights. The board + heatsink can run up to 160w for about 65$, just need the power supply. I'd spec my build for 35-40w per foot rather than 50.

Or any of the china baba lights would work as well.

Bc blondes is an excellent choice especially if you're in Canada, no import charges.

The qb96 is not super efficient on high wattage, +2.6ppf/w I'd go with 30-35w per foot but here more watts might be better. Right now we are running a bit under 4000w over 12m2 /130ish square foot. I think it comes out as around 25w per foot and we get around 45g per foot on average cycles, a bit more on those flukey dream runs.

I like the qb96 for it's modularity: you can do 4 per 4x4 or if you start low on cash and then up later to 6 or even more. And it's a cheapo from HLG so very well backed up.

As in total up to 1000$? That might be tricky...
