New grow

Hi there,

recently i was doing the research as I was planning to do scrog in my 3x3 tent.

My setup is:
3x3 tent
Hps adjustable light (250-650)
6 inch exhaust and filter
4 inch intake
3 small 6 inch fans and one oscillating

I will use Canna Bio Terra soil with Canna Bio nutes

Now I’ve got 3 gallon fabric pots with pots elevators.

I don’t think I would be scrogging then this time as I want to do four plants so I’m thinking I’d do four this run and then on the next one I’d only do 2 big plants scrog perpetual having separate veg tent.

I assume seedling phase would be around 2 weeks then I’d veg them for around 30 days or so and flip. Maybe a week longer depends how training would go.

I’d be topping them and lst.

Now just wanted to check what’s ur thoughts about it. Should I add net and scrog them even if it’s four of them (wouldn’t that be to tight for scrog?) or just lst and top them and eventually add trellis to support buds. Or maybe should I go with three plants in bigger pots. I’m not really sure what to do. My general idea is to do 4 this run, train them and then do two big plants on the next run with scrog. This run I’d want to pull around 450g but obviously I’m not focusing on it too much, it’s just me “dreaming out loud”, I’d rather work on the basics and focus on growing them properly. So any advice ?

You can do 10 plants, 4 plants, 1 plant. You can do whatever number of plants you want & grown right, in the size tent you have with the equipment your using you could get the 450g you want. But only experience will tell you if & when you need to scrog them or not. Im my experience 4 4oz plants will be able to fit & carry their own weight in the space you have without the need for scrog netting just dont let them veg longer than they need to develop a strong root system.

Go with your heart and do the best you can, only way you'll know what works best is trial and error. change it up next run and see if there's any improvement, just wanted to add about the adjustable hps..which I'll be assuming is a digital ballast so my suggestion is if you are using a 600w light keep it at 600w, don't drop it down because ideally if you had it at say 400w you'll be wanting to use a 400w bulb...of course you could just do whatever but it's not good for the bulb..and you won't be getting the best efficiency, spectrum, and well just look into it for more information.

Right so what im gonna do Ill do 3 gal fabric pots, wont be getting any bigger ones for this run. I’ll top them and lst and I’ll see how it goes if I see that net would be useful I’m just gonna add it as I go. Thanks for the answers, I appreciate it
