I have formed a theory, based on some conversations overheard on this place and actual experience, that HPS do not give a complete full light spectrum to the plants. My plants started looking a lot better once some Daylight curly tail CFLs was added to the agenda. I just hung up about 6 of them in a circle around the big light. One hundred watters. Not very expensive. You can make relfectors out of small sized aluminum disposable pans or just buy the shop light at wally world. That give you a plug hood and all for about 7 bucks. Another 4 or 5 for the bulb. Your plants will thank you.

If you want a full spectrum get an HPS bulb with color temp of 2700K and a MH bulb with a color temp of 6500K and your plants will go wild. Unfortunately due to money constraints most people go MH for veg and HPS for flowering.

To answer your question, no, your new 400W HPS light will not "Speed" up the flowering process. It will however grow you some bigger, fatter buds than the CFL's will.

Agreed. A full spectrum bulb that reproduces the suns natural light the best will give you the best results. But throwing some cool temp CFL's in there with the HPS will never hurt your plant either. I wouldn't add too many myself. Maybe a couple 100Watters. The HPS light WILL do the job alone.

it is ok for veg if you do it a little before the lights come on, never spray anything on your buds, unless you want mold.

You better lay down with the ferts my man. Different plants react differently to heavy doses of food, which is what you're giving your lady, but I would almost guarantee your plant will start to show signs of overfertilization if you keep up that regiment. I feed my girls every other watering at the most, and with half the recommended dosage.

I'm glad to hear that you only fed her once like that. Like I said bro, some plants dig the high doses, but most don't need or like it. Just don't try to give her TOO MUCH love. Remember, it's a weed and will grow just fine with very little help from us. Feeding it every other watering is better than feeding it every time you water. It will help keep the salts from building up on you as well. Also, you never want to spray water on your buds!

how long is expected from beginning to end how many months? i have 5 days ago found out she is a girl?
Depends on what strain you're growing. Could take anywhere from 7-8 weeks up to 12-14 weeks to finish flowering. Most strains out there finish up between 8-10 weeks unless it's a pure Sativa.
