So to wrap this up, the only mistakes you make are the ones you don't learn from.

Don't make this a mistake, make this a learning moment and do better next time.

You will never see what would have been due to the plant rape that occurred.
Next time, just ask before making a decision youre unsure of.

Happy growing

Exactly. Well put.

OP, do you have a little extra room? Get your next grow started. Seeds/clones/whatever.... You can flip those to flower when these are done.

Play around with these. There is only so much info that you can learn from others, or by reading a book. How about this- harvest in like two or three stages, maybe a couple weeks apart. Check the trichomes. Then, compare how they each smoke. See what you like. This is my 3rd grow, and I am STILL trying to learn that. Have fun with them....

And yeah, those things look horrific. I've grown WAY worse. Lol
I have another 2.5 x2.5 tent that I’m begging a clone I took before flower I’ll have pictures when I’m home

Finish them and get whatever you can from them while you start the other tent. Try to lessen the stress on them regulate the ferts and heat, you should still get yourself a reward. This is a hard learned lesson but imagine my first grow, i crammed 20 plants under a 400 and vegged for too long, then flowered, a month later, i had branches and pistils no buds, and it was too late for me to do anything so i lost all the months of vegging then flowering for nothing. now 20 years later, i still learn a bunch of new things every single grow

Good point. But the word, "rape" seems excessive.
Yes , i use excessive words for "excessive procedures". The op raped his girls. He skipped the whole why section on defoling.

In my own opinion , defoling is never needed but can be useful to experienced growers. There are a couple of subjects you leave alone when not knowing much about growing and defoling is one of them. No decent grower would ever recommend defoling to a person who dont know how to grow.
There are only two reasons you would ever defol. 1. To get more light on the lower branches. (not needed as the fan leaves give the buds all the light they need but i can see why some do it)
2. More airflow. (this is dumb. add airflow and leave the girls alone.)

I agree that people new to growing should not be advised to defoliate their plants. Later on as they learn more, sure, if they want to. I have for various reasons. And there are a few other reasons someone might want to as well. But like you said probably not a good idea when they are new.
I would have just picked a word like mutilated, maimed, or hobbled. Lol
(To the O.P., I am not trying to offend you with this next bit, it's just true)
The question at the beginning of this post, shouldn't ever have to be asked. But at this point (as has been stated) just ride it out and get what you can. You'll do better next time! And later on you can try something like defoliating or bonsai or whatever else triggers your trip... just get to know how they grow before jumping into radical techniques.
Good luck friend!

Bud site or leaf?
I'm of the understanding that it's the leafs that does the lions share of the work, to me removing a big healthy leaf to expose a budd site seems wrong, you wouldn't ever remove leafs from any other kind flowers?
Of course I could be wrong that's only my understanding but if it's not the case I'd like to know?

this is 99.99% correct. its a rollitup technique thats way overtalked about. There are a few times here an there when a more experienced person might remove some but im with you on that subject.

Too much defoliation at wrong time.
Whats up with the leaves all pointing down ? I think too much light. way too much light......and of course the raping of the plant didnt help but i would have thought they would look different by now. They do look like its smokable but something is terribly wrong. i suspect light.

One thing i feel needs mentioned is that Edward, you did a hell of a job not giving up !!! thats how patience works! Great job bud, now lets get your girls happy!
I dont care what the people here say or what you may think.... your bud sites did not double or anything and your girl would be twice the weight without defoling but for you to get this far says somethuing. you have the patience to do a good job at this. Keep it up bud!

The leafs are all faced down cause the way I trained I had all branches almost at a 90 degree angle so I had re positioned them to get the top of the collars to recive most of the light that was yesterday when I did so

i mean the way they are all drooped down. kinda looks like you had something laying on top of each bud.
Either way , next time keep all your foliage and you will have triple the yield.
