New grower in need of some help!!!!!

Hello!!

I could use some guidance/advice!! This is my first grow. I am growing in hydro with a flood and drain system. Five gallon pots, every 8 hours I water for 15 minutes. I have 11 plants total, all clones. I have 6 different strains growing, with 5 being duplicates and one other. My temperature is 81 degrees at the highest point with a humidity between 45-55. I have one oscillating fan blowing over the canopy and two six inch fans for an exhaust and fresh air intake. I use a 55 gallon reservoir and I keep the pH between 5.7-6.2. Currently I have two 4x8s with t5s running 18/6, lights about 4in from canopy at the tallest point. Ppms are currently about 600. Using GH flora nova as a nutrient solution.

My issue is the new growth. It is thin, yellowing, and doesn't seem healthy. I would appreciate it if anyone might have some opinions/information as to why I might be experiencing this. Any info would be great...thank you!!!

I hope its not wrong for giving my thoughts as I am a new grower as well.. But I had a problem with new leaves turning very pale green on my young plants and the issue was I was way underfeeding them.

Going off what i am giving my plants now (which are smaller than yours) I think you have the same problem I did with underfeeding.

I am feeding mine with about 950ppm on my small plants in coco (approx 5 weeks old) and that seems to be spot on for me atm. Your plants look quite a bit bigger than mine (well bushier than mine anyway) So if 600ppm is what they are getting, it looks like yours are hungry, if others agree its underfed I think you could raise it about 20-30% and see how it reacts to that before going any higher?

Thats what I did except I have raised it twice now already.

Id wait for someone to confirm or deny what I've said before you do anything, as I said, I am still a new grower.

Other than this slight issue your plants look really nice man. Doing well!

Hopefully this helps man.

Larry,

Thanks for your reply! I haven't checked this thing in a while.. It ended up being root rot. I bought some hydroguard and now I'm all set. Flowering now and its going well! About ten days in..just kicked a case of spider mites.

First off. Your not flooding enough!

Once at lights on - once at lights out, and 3 more in between...Veg and Bloom!

Root problems that have to do with rot in a res served system. Tend to be form the res temps getting to 70F.
Run below 70 f for a res temp and see your rot problems go away for good.

Um, be sure to sanitize the whole hydro system, before starting a new run. Your going to need that or you'll simply keep getting root problems!

Dr who,

Thank you for your reply! You are definitely spot on with that considering my res was above 70 when this was all going on. At this point I'm in week three of flower. Things seem to be going well. I will make a note to sanitize when I finish up this grow. Any recommendations on the best way to do it? Any input is appreciated!!!! Here's a pic of the girls as of today.
